53,000 miles on my '06 325i. In the 3 years I've owned it, no problems at all other than routine maintenance and using the warranty to fix sticking door handles, the trunk release button, and a blown fuse. Pretty solid.

Guys, lets make this thread a little more informative for us 2006 E9X owners so that we can note this thread for potential problems that could happen to us.

2006 BMW 330i (picked up Oct.2005) - 70k miles

-3 engine overheating problems(fan problem, fixed under warranty)
-2 engine limp mode / extreme vibration problem(2 coils/plugs replaced, $500 each time, both occured after 50k miles)

Nothing else other then that. Things I'm worried about,
1. Remaining coils
2. Slight transmission(steptronic) jerks during upshift
3. Airbag light / no seatbelt light constantly going off and on randomly on dash
(This problem occured since I purchased the car. BMW was never able to fix it, and still happens. EXTREMELY annoying)

2006 325xi (picked up February 2009) - 24.6k miles - Now at 46k

-Slight problem with car starting. It would crank and not start at all once. Dealership said it was a slight retardation in something. (Can't find the paperwork, so don't really remember what it was).
-Service engine soon light about 500 miles ago. Was due to the gas cap not being put on right. Went away after 3-4 starts and came back on about 20 miles ago for no reason. =/ Getting it checked out tomorrow.

Had a vibration start when I hit a pothole, so it's most likely due to a bent wheel. Haven't really bothered to get it checked yet, since it's not that noticeable.

2006 325i, bought Feb 2006. Currently has about 40k miles on it, but the first 3 years of ownership, averaged 6 or 7k miles a year because of its status as weekend car.

The only problem I've had with it is the driver door trim peeling, but the dealer replaced it under warranty. Also, the rear driver's side handle is a little sticky at times, but I haven't bothered to replace it since the warranty's out. It's not a big problem.

I had the exact same issues on my car when it was under warranty. Got them both fixed, no real issues with the car, though. Pretty solid.

I'm the OP. Pleased to see there were so many responses to my thread; I had not checked in awhile.

Update: I'm now at about 95k and just had it in for a visual check at the dealer today before I roll over the OD and my CPO expires soon. Said everything looks great, nothing to do.

I *did* have some fairly major warranty/CPO work done since my last post:

1) The leaking manifold cover where the Al bolts broke. A known issue that causes a minor oil leak. CPO thankfully covered that completely. (NOTE that if I had bought the car NEW instead of at 20k this would NOT have been covered...and I got the car for about half of sticker by buying it with 20k CPO).

2) Coolant pump.

I recently did at least the first pass through all major fluids (steering, second brake flush, coolant flush w/the repair). Next on the list is the transmission fluid change, which is $1200 dlr but I found a place who will do it for about half that.

Bought it used @ 49000KM

Only encountered alu alloy engine mount bolt broken @ 61000KM.
At present 66000KM, i can feel the brake pedal hard during morning cold starts. Other than that, the drive is brilliant!

Replaced blower fan regulator
Oil changes once every 6 months with BMW Synthetic Oil

I will most def be posting some pics up. And yes original owner. Purchased in Sept 06. I just might win for being lowest on the forum, its sad it doesn't get out much.

3rd owner at 44,500 miles
no issues except brake squeal with new rotors and brakes since july '11 with 2nd owner, rechecked when I bought it aug'11, still squeak during shift knob shifts only, not during driving. now 46,700 miles.
