1st time @ track, disappointing results
I couldn't get traction I was getting 2.4-2.5 60ft's all day
r/t .076 60' 2.359 1/8 9.074 @ 90.30 mph 1/4mile 13.487 @ 111.94 mph JB4 G5, DCI, methanol, E85/93 octane, 6MT. My car wouldn't boost past 16.5psi for some reason(?) even though I have my additive set to 7 (19.5psi), kept getting a plausible fuel pump code, and kept missing 2nd gear. Only ran 4 times because it was an epic fail and quit I had my tire pressure set at 38psi on PS2 RFT. Definitely will be going back, I need more practice on my launching, and to figure out my fuel pump code. 3,500rpm w/ a quick clutch slip @ part throttle. 6,000rpm shift points, I didn't get a chance to deviate from those methods. Nonetheless, a 112mph trap speed isn't terrible, the ET of 13.5 is. I ran with one push of the T/C button (DTC light)

Yeah, I'd go all nannies off first. These cars aren't going to get away from you in my experience. I've driven a few cars that would love you send you into a wall if given the chance.
Second I'd lower the tire pressures some. On street tires you don't want to go really low but but 38 seems pretty high to me. I'm new to BMW's though, they might react differently. I used to run about 28-30psi at the drag strip in my C5 when on streets tires. After that its all clutch work and launch. Not easy in the least bit. |

went back again to a turkey trot event, I was only able to get 3 runs this evening within a 1 1/2hr time frame so I'll have to go back another time.
All DTC/DSC nannies off Launched @ 2,000rpm and eased into the throttle in 1st gear, still spun Tire pressure 32psi rear on PS2 RFT Limited 1st gear to 10psi short shifted 1-2 @ 6,000rpm because of traction issue's shifted at 6,300rpm 2-3 and 3-4 JB4 ISO, E50 blend w/ 93 octane, DCI, 80/20 water/meth mixture 50 additive, peaked 17.5psi 60' 2.002 330 5.971 1/8 8.774 @ 91.30 1000 11.249 1/4 12.627 @ 113.98 All in all, not bad for my 2nd try.

Not bad - I have the same tires as you - but will be getting some Pilot Super Sports before next year!

Nice, OP. Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the best street tire I've found yet.

Nice times! Have you checkled your logs? Since it has got colder, I lowered boost to 15psi and it still pulls great (119mph).
They are like glass now that its gotten colder (40-60F). Spins with 4th gear roll-on even with LSD. I was hoping for them to be stickier. |

My fuel trims are pretty elevated since it's been cooler. When I ran above, it was about 70F. When I do logs in 90+F, my fuel trims hover close to 0 with a 50/50 E85/93 + methanol.
