K&N Air Intake...

I picked up my car from K&N today, they were using it to prototype their intake. They said an approx 13RWHP improvement. Problem is my car was the first in, an employee dropped her's off today, but they need 3-5 more cars to test/verify results before they can confirm numbers.

So if you live in the So Cal area (IE specifically) call Reina Gamez at 951.826.4000 ext 4458, tell her Shawn Bowen sent you. They are located on the northeast side of the 60/91/215 junction, if that helps with your decision. They do give you a loaner car for however long they have your car. They had mine for a little over a week but I think that was because of the protyping and testing rather then just testing, but I don't know.

What kind of loaner did K&n give u? Id be ok to do it but not sure i can part with my ride for a week!

I thought K&N already had an intake. Have you noticed any additional HP?

They gave me a Jeep Grand Cherokee, definately not a BMW, but they wouldn't let me take the Ferrari or the Viper. They have a couple cars available, basically what you would get when you go to Hertz.

As for me noticing the estimated 13hp, I didn't because they can't let me have the prototype, they will give me a packaged good when they are done testing and prepared to release the product.

Call me cynical but I highly doubt it on the N52.

FUck that they better pay me and give me 5 intakes! I would never let a company put miles on my car for a WEEK.
And a Jeep cherokee,,LOL

AND u have to wait for the final release product!.. wow sounds to me u got taken for a ride!

i seriously doubt an na engine would have 15 rwhp improvement with just an intake ..............................

intakes always say such great gains, but usually you lose downlow and get the power back in the higher rpm band. however, you only get a few hp at that. i know for my G intakes say about 10-15 hp gain, where dyno's prove about 2-3whp gains

I have the K&N in my Maxima and didn't see any difference but had more growl than before so that was cool. Few hp's but not enough or over 10.
