The new v403 e30 map feels more tame compared to the older v402 e30 map...

Give it time to adapt. v403 is definitely smoother than v402 after it adapts and the timing is the same as v402.

Anyone logged, dynoed, or done a 1/4 mile run with the new V4.03 100 octane maps? I'm wondering if those issues with huge timing drops that raceybmw experienced with V4.02, have been dialed out.

We saw very few issues with the v4.02 maps and only changed the WGDC table slightly for the v4.03 maps. These maps are extremely aggressive and we do definitely recommend datalogging for anyone running them. If you see timing corrections on multiple cylinders, you should modify the timing tables via ATR or seek a tune more suited for your particular vehicle from a pro-tuner or e-tuner. Send me some logs if you'd like me to review them for you.

And FYI, the timing drops I saw were at the shift on my Auto, which many people have happen, even on the non-race maps. I was not getting any drops outside the shift.

Josh, I found the answers I was looking for in this thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=775288 I wanted a private owner dyno. Great work on that 100 octane race map. I'll be using it this year!

I hit 370hp/430tq with 30% e85 and no downpipes (stg1+fmic aggressive). I'm curious to see what I'll pull now that BMS downpipes and this racemap are installed :O

Thanks for the link, Killerfish. Impressive numbers for an OTS map.

Since you know of my recent issues (ahemm, cough-engine-failure-cough), I'm curious as to which maps you've used when tracking your car (on a road coarse). I'm guessing Stage 2+ Aggressive with 93 octane?

of late, yes, but with 100 octane added in, so more like 95 octane. It pulled great. I posted a vid of my run in the track section. I'm going to be running straight race gas now with the fully released 100 octane map. Right now the car is in the shop getting the LSD put in. First track event looks to be end of this month.

Quick question:

is there any issue upping the scalar for 30% E85 in the Stage 2+ aggressive map and add E85 to clean up timing and then when just driving casually sometimes not add any E85 on the ST2+ map but leave the e30 scalar with straight 93 octane?

Yeah the E30 map does seem to be pretty aggressive ... I had to lower the timing quite a bit to get rid of timing corrections.

It shouldn't require THAT much ethanol to clean up timing correction on a stage 2 aggressive map. You should be able to put in 2-3 gallons out of a full tank and clear up corrections and not adjust the fuel scalar much at all and be good to go.

+1, hell I was running 92 octane and saw very few corrections on s2+ agg. I ran water only through the meth kit and was able to run with no timing correction.

are you asking whether you can run with pump only? of course not but if you're asking whether you can use the 93 for the mix, then of course yes

I run my tank till empty, then use sonocco GT100 from my local shell @ $7/gal. I ran like 5 gallons at the race track (one with turns). I don't consider that too much, considering your average track day is over $200. I won't touch ethanol.

The 100 octane map (V4.03) also got rid of all my exhaust smoke. I used to smoke like a chimney, but now it's back to pre-catless. All these effects stayed even when I flashed back to stg2 V4.02. Bravo Cobb!

hey guys...just went back to 4.03 e30 mapping and damn pulls just as hard as i remember 4.02 being. i actually went back to stg 2+ agr after my clutch started slipping on e30 map but for some reason my clutch isnt slipping anymore.

anyhow i wanted to know how to read some of the logs. i was getting some corrections on basically all cylinders but it was weird cause the only corrections came at the beginning of the log at a constant speed. once i started doing some pulls there were no corrections...and the corrections were -3.0. logged the timing corrections that wasnt specific to any cylinders and it was 0 the whole time. does it seem like anything is wrong?

anything else i should log that is really important? i looked at the lpfp and hpfp and all targets were being met so that was good...lpfp never went under 72.
