Cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve?

Hi everyone,

I'm a new 335xi owner, and I absolutely love the car. I only have one minor problem with it: every now and again the RPMs will stay high (around 4000-4500) well after I've let off the gas. It comes back down once I brake and stop though. I've concluded that I should start by cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve. Does anyone have any kind of advice for how to do this? Or does anyone think I should start with something else? Thanks a million.
