You saying the 550i manual is not available? Here it is being tested by Car and Driver http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...take_road_test

All 450 torque at 1,750 RPM. The 535d doesn't have this transmission because the economics don't make sense, not enough demand. Nothing to do with too much torque, LOL.

As much as I do miss my manual trans car, I dont feel the 335d is suited for one. The automatic is able to hold gears, and put that torque to the ground so much better than I ever would shifting manually.

I eventually will own a manual trans car again, but it wont be powered by diesel.

I'm telling you BMW USA's site is very clear about no manual option. The information I pulled above is directly from the official BMW site.

Its no longer on the BMWUSA.com build your own, but I just built a 550i on the ordering system for dealers and you can still order a manual trans 5 series. As long as its Rear Wheel Drive.

I guess I will just have to give up on ordering a Front Wheel Drive manual 5 series.

Haha very funny! This is for people in the snow belt. You can not order a xDrive manual 5 Series, but I am assuming you knew that.
