Good deal??? (123d for 335d)
Hi Guys,
Quite new to the forum and have been reading up on the 335d, its always been a car I liked but a while back I bought a 123d, however it hasn't quite scratched my itch for a 335d!! So, my 123d is an '08 plate M-Sport hatch with 8000 miles, good spec-leather, bluetooth, heated seats, etc. I have been offered a straight swap for this 335d - http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/ni/...01016357259164 Now I know it has more mileage, considerably older etc. but i'm still thinking its not a bad deal for me? What do you guys think? Spec of the 335d is pretty good, would only want an M-Sport really and i-drive beeing the one extra in particular that I want. Thanks in advance for any help/advice |

Doing a very basic valuation on your car, P/X is about £16k, personally I'd want a 335d with less mile on the clock.just think after a couple of years ownership, it will be on 100k.

By the way, was also considering this - http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/ni/...01015356608384
But he wants 4.5k plus my 123d. Better run for cover now after putting up an Audi link |

In agreement with the others;
Although arguably a superior car, that particular 335d is too old/too leggy for that to be considered a great deal - I'm imagining your 123d still looks pretty much factory fresh with only 8k miles on it which the 335d will not. Personally speaking, I couldn't live with that interior either, I'm not a fan of non-black dashboards/trim.

i'm starting to think the fact that I don't have to pay anything to get the car is what is attracting me it!! Any opinions on the A4? It has a slightly upgraded version of the new gti engine and decent spec?? So should be quick-ish, obviously not compared to a 335d though! |

Get a 335d coupe for similar money. In SE spec it has all the right bits.

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/classifieds/1626124.htm Would these be better than the 335d I initially posted up? Will obviously cost me a couple of grand more though |

I'd have you car over the Audi, the 2.0 diesel in it isn't a patch on your 123d, which is the best 4 cylinder diesel money can buy IMO
Get the car you really what, even if it mean spending a bit more, otherwise you'll be doing the same thing in six months. The one on Pistonheads is the best of the bunch so far. |

I'd still rather have a 6 pot BMW diesel though

Depends what you are after as you have suggested a 6 cylinder diesel and a four pot petrol, which can both be tuned to 350BHP and 300BHP respectively. But obviously the BMW is the drivers car, the FWD will pee you off after a while. Just hold out for the right 335d or even 330d and be prepared to put some money into it. You have an immaculate 123d by the sounds of things, that will be easier enough to shift privately, due to the low miles, and then go searching as a cash buyer.
Just my tuppence
