Since we're discussing monoblock vs multi-piece wheels...

I thought an advantage of the multi-piece designs were that you can disassemble them for repair (lip/barrel replacement) or for custom finishes. I know there are a lot of BBS LM owners who custom paint or powder coat the spokes.

In photos of iforged and the DPE it seems they are welded to the barrel? How bout HRE? If these wheels are welded are the screws just for looks/show? (not that it's a bad thing or anything.)

With the exception of HRE's new monoblock series, HRE's are three-piece, so the fasteners do actually function as fasteners--they are not just for show, as they are on the 2-piece DPEs and Iforged. Three-piece DPE and Iforged wheels also have functional fasteners.

You have great quality rims. Indestructible they are not, but no rims are...

Kev,

It depends which model of the wheels you order. You can order Iforged 2 piece wheels. This is what I got, if i ever need to replace the lip I can un bolt the center. Not a big fan of the welds, also I rather have chrome lip than polished which is the finish you get on the 2 piece
