BMW E90 Backup camera installation
Hello,
Can anyone offer this service? Anywhere in the GTA Installing backup camera on a CIC Idrive. I know there are shops such as 4X4 and etc but they charge way too for the unit themselves. If anyone is willing to install it for a reasonable price, I'm willing to come over to you shop/house or whatever to have it done. I'd prefer if you bought all the modules, if not I can get them from Ebay and I'll pay you for the installation Here is a forum with detailed description of what is required for installation. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1005301 I am pretty available during the weekday and weekend. Thank you |

Talk to Jeff at Lockdown security. He does good work.
But summarize the instructions for him, as well as providing him the details. I find most shops won't have time to read through those type of detailed posts, so it's best you be aware what it is you want him to do specifically (any shop, not just Lockdown).

Your car have PDC or no? I'll be doing a backup install into a non-PDC car soon (just waiting for the hardware)...
Install into a car with PDC is straightforward.

Hello. Just wondering if you ever got this done. I know the bimmer tech is overpriced like everyone said but, for me it seems like the easiest option to get their MMI backup camera. It adds the option of having a front camera installed as well.

I have a 08 328xi without i-drive. I also bought an Auto-vox M1W kit from Amazon. Trying to figure out if anyone in GTA can install it before I do it myself.
Installation is not that hard I think (from youtube videos) But still figuring out if I should use fuse tap and run power cable to front from trunk..or I can just use the main battery with in-line fuse (front plug instead of the plug on the distribution module) for ease installation |

guys, you should install it yourself, the problem is not the installation as long as you have proper diagram from the camera and emulator seller but the programming, you need somone to program the computer or it will not work
