Review of Raceland DP's w/ Cold Start Video w/ v4 4-8 maps

First impression, when I received the box I was pretty impressed for what I was seeing for 200. The welds looked pretty good and the flanges as well.

Fitment: Fitment was about 98% for bolting up to my AMS catback. The most difficult part is probably getting everything to line up perfectly and tightening it all down. Since you have limited space to work it makes it difficult.

I started the car with just downpipes only, with my catback disconnected and I'll tell you what on a cold start these cars sound pretty violent!

After the first drive with v4 2-23 stage 2 maps the spool was very nice, and the sound was much deeper and aggressive. From the butt dyno I would say i feel nice power increase in the middle, and the top end power. I recently updated with 4-8 maps UT 50 IC 75 93 OCT. It is pulling very strong all the way to 7k power is very smooth. I will be heading to the track next week for some track times.

Overall I am pretty impressed for the $200 Raceland downpipes. They sound good and the car is defiantly faster.

Just ran a 09 Challenger Stock Auto 40-125 mph, He had the hit by half of a car. I immediately pulled hard by 125 I had 5-6 CL's and was still pulling. I have AMS exhaust so -52 lbs, removed x brace - 8lbs, and downpipes which have to be less 10 lbs?? stock ones are really heavy.

Because I don't track the car and I don't plan on it, and the AMS exhaust that I have the Xbrace didn't fit without spacers, its a good design but its not that great it could be improved and be stronger it really doesn't do that much unless your taking the car to the track which I am not. And its 8.7 lbs so every little weight reduction helps.

I don't track my car either, yet i upgraded my cross brace... what's the point of power without making the car more stable ? I can say that with close to 400 whp, i'll take anything i can get to tighten that back end up !!

I haven't replaced some of the bushings back there, but it's on my list...

I mean yea, I understand that. I talk to an engineer and I was told the design of this x brace probably doesn't benefit that much unless you are putting the car to track use where it will have a benefit, but for everyday driving ill take weight reduction. but with my current set up i am getting very little wheel spin in first and none in second, I am running Yoko's S Drive's 265's in the rear, I am really impressed with these tires they hook up great here on shitty Michigan roads.
