Morr vs8.2 on the track?
Has anyone used these for the track? I wish I had my stock wheels because they performed like a champ last year. I'm not sure how well these wheels will hold up. 1. they're low profile tires and 2. they're 19''.
What do you guys think?

I guess my biggest worry would be enough roll over on the tire to damage the rim edge. I had some major feathering (I think that's what it is called) on my stock tires last year.
I've never taken 19'' wheels with low profile tires to the track before. As you can see below, would there be enough tire to not damage the edge of the rim? or is this something to not even worry about?

I am in the same position. I am leaning towards buying 19", but afraid that this is going to cause problems at my occasional track events. How about when going over those red/white curbs? Would that kill 19"ers?

Buy a cheap set of square 17s or 18s. I run Rota SVNs (RE30 reps) 18x9 for the track and I DD my stocks. Definitely a lot lighter than the stock 189s.

dude, they are morr alloys. they are top of the line, 8k lb press forged wheels. they will hold up tremendously well to anything you can throw at them taking into account that your tire is well suited/adj to track conditions and beaded properly. get out there and learn your car, as you improve i'm sure youll see the benefit of running a smaller diameter wheel coupled with r compound rubber, have fun!.

I have a solution!!
I recently purchased Staggered 18's VMR v718's and I want a silver CSL . These are about 23lbs each and are wrapped in a Ventus v12. 245/40/18 up front 265/40/18 rear Looking for a 19" swap or $1400 cash shipped. |

I tracked my VS8.2's, however, it was only because I didn't have a cheap pair of dedicated 17's. The Morr's wrapped with PSS did great but you are better off using some less expensive 17-18's with r-comps.

Your primary issue is still lack of camber, and that same "feathering" you'll see regardless of the size of the wheels/tires you run.

PLUS 10,000 on ARC-8s. Here's the new concave 17 for E9Xs. Little or no performance difference or 17s and the tires are much less. Like he says "...and put RS3's or Direzza's on...". |
