Hey everyone I just came from an 2007 E92 6 speed and go into a 2010 E90 6 speed. Both fully loaded. Here are the differences that I noticed.
E90 is definately much more roomier inside due to the fact that E92 has a lower roof line. As far as handling both are the same. I would even say the E90 is slightly tighter but that can be due to the fact that's its brand new. The E90 is defiantely wider and has an more aggressive stance since it was slightly restyled! Power wise and quickness both are the same. No difference. I would say at the end the only really major difference is one has 2 doors and the other 4 doors. Take your pick! |

I own both.
2007 E92 335i and a 2010 E90 LCI M-sport. Handling wise there about the same, but i DEF think the E90 handles a bit better around turns or more confidence inspiring? i need more seat time in it though. The E90 suspension is acutally a TAD smoother over bumps. Iside for the driver and passenger is a lil more head room in the E90, the seating position seems better for some reason aswell over the E92, and it is wider inside, more room between you and the passenger. The back DEF is a bit wider and has a GOOD amount more headroom over the E92, the E92 back seats are useless for people who are over 6 feet tall. And the base of the seats slant upwards so its like you just fell into the seat in the rear. But 2 people can sit back there comfortably that are under 5'11 no problem, just PITA getting in and out. Interior design wise, the ambient lighting on the doors of the coupe is nice, have always loved it.The e90 doesnt have this on the doors . Also the shift knob and paddle shifts are polsihed in the E92 and NOT polished on the E90. Side pockets on the Coupe that fold out vs the Sedan which are just there, the sedans better as its actually useful. Was annyoing pulling out the side pockets on the coupe, and it was small on the coupe so you can brely put anything in there. Also the rear of the coupe has no middle seating, it has a small glovebox with a sliding door, and a small place to rest items, the Sedan doesnt have this, and makes resting your legs width wise ALOT MORE comfortable. This middle console in the coupe, even tho its cool and i actually likes how it looks, it takes away from the comfort of resting your legs, and the small glove box and placement for things is not useful at all!!! the E90 is alot more useful all around... The extra doors of getting people in and out of the car is ALOT easier, and the room inside is alot more in the E90, makes life and being in the car alot nice. Owing the E92, it did get annyoing at times but never bothered me, now that i own the E90 and it does everything as good or better than the E92, you really understand wow! a sedan is really useful! Looks wise, the E90 LCI with M-sport pack is increidble looking with the new headlights and tailishgt and hood. the LED's are amazing aswell. The M-sport bumpers is just perfect. For the E90: Blacks grills, M3 rear spoiler, Front BMW OEM splitters are on order so it should make it look just right. For the E92: OEM Aero front lip, SP Matte front grills, OEM M3 rear spoiler, 35 % tints. Last edited by Bagelfast; 01-14-2010 at 09:22 AM.. |

use to won an e92 vert, now got a e90, definatly e90 more roomier, practical but if you want the attention...e92 is the way to go!
I also found out getting into the drivers seat on the e92 more uncomfortable then the e90..wonder why...hmm |

Just went from E92 to E90LCI Msport
Coupes will always be cool, but there was something about the E90LCI +Msport that just says "masculine" so i went for it! It looks butch.. the E92 looks less butch but more elegant imo. |

Msport is like putting on too much aftershave and want everyone to notice you.
The 19's are like a pair of fuck me pumps. Very uncomfortable and does little but gets you noticed. They wear quicker and don't take bumps well. Anyone really track their cars? If you do most mods are cool. Don't then its poser. |

But whats wrong with a factory fitted Msport kit if it makes the car look better? Does'nt everyone want a good looking, handsome car?
Agree on the 19s. |

I would take an E90 LCI over my current E92 IMHO. It looks much more masculine than the E92.
One difference I have noticed in driving the two is that the drivers view perspective in the e92 is better and you have less blindspots since you have bigger windows. Coil-overs give the E92 a better stance as well as some spacers in the rear making it look more masculine.
