I have even taken it through the car wash (I know shame on me) and it looks perfectly fine. Like any rims whether they are plasti dip or painted or powder coated they get dirty I find taking the car through the car wash or using the self serve car wash gets rid of all the dirt that accumulate on the rims especially when you use the water gun and turn the pressure on high it blasts everything off the rims.

did it myself I took the wheels off and everything took a few hours on a Saturday morning but it looks great. You can do it without taking off the wheels as well.

mind you if you don't put enough coats on it will be a pain in the a** to remove.
you're going to end up ripping up a million pieces and will take you a while to get off. Goo Gone works really well too |

hmm, this is intriguing to me now. I love my stock 286 ZSP wheels and was thinking of having them powder coated black, but not sure on gloss or matte since I have the high gloss shadow line trim and performance grill. Maybe this is something to try before I pay to have them prepped and coated.

I dipped my badges almost a year ago and they still look just as good as they did the first day. I did my trim too and that also held up perfectly, till I decided to remove it in favor of a gloss black finish.

Plastidip is really a great thing to use if you do not want a permanent change to your car. Many people first try out plastidip with their rims first. You really come out nicely. Something you should know, (this is obvious, but) the feeling of it is rubber, because plastidip is rubber... oh i feel like an idiot.

Same here. Holds up to high pressure washes and wheel brushes really well too! Brake dust falls right off.

My buddy and I plastidipped out wheels together, went to lows about 3 months ago picked up 2 cans apiece for like 11 bucks. Plastidip is still on my wheels as we speak and I wash my car once a week. I just don't scrub the wheels I gently wipe them off!! Holds up great against pressure washing! But if you don't take wheel off be sure to cover up brake calipers and rotors

makes sense, rubber elasticity and getting imbedded. the more imbedded the harder to pull to the surface, haha we should take all these tips and make a plastidip faq for all ahead, got a lot of good info from all you guys
