This actually looks like a low boost turbo curve to me but I don't know much.

It may be designed that way to make it more drive-able and linear with less "shove" spikes. However, I like to feel a torque surge at about 2000 rpm in normal day-to-day driving and I'm seeing stock N/A power at 2000rpm on the comparison graph. Its the daily driving power that matters to me. I wont be doing 6000-7000rpm around town much, so wont see the real-life gains that a S/C normally brings.

Keen to hear your thoughts on this.
Low end torque is not a concern for many ppl cuz they wont buy the kit, it's just a game of number for them.

For those ppl who actually pulled the trigger, overtaking a stock N54/55 on highway is the best reward.

It's a centrifugal supercharger, not a roots or other style. It produces boost off a pulley on the crank that increases boost as the RPM raises. It's benefit is that there's no lag and the power builds up linear rather than just in a specific range.

What's posted on the OP is all we have at the moment, we'll give this a proper photoshoot once it returns for final tuning.

It can't, not without a fuel system upgrade.

Any baseline for the 330i? Auto? With headers and an exhaust that should be well over 300whp.

is that with the fuel system upgrade? were you able to just use larger injectors, or does the pump need replaced?

I am fairly new to the BMW world, but everything I read about the n52 engine after I bought my 328i almost 2 years ago, says the internals of this engine cannot handle any sort of boost. If someone were to buy this would you be concerned about engine failure?

The engine will be fine with low boost. Contrary to popular belief, our engine actually does have cylinder liners of a sort. The Alusil coating is protective enough.

This is with an upgraded FPR and 7psi on an otherwise stock 330i MT.

Still working to find a larger injector that has the OEM spray pattern so it will idle with the valvetronic (1mm of lift at idle). I have been searching and testing different options along with ESS. It is critical for the spray pattern to be exact in order for the car to idle properly.

With the FPR upgrade alone, the system can safely do 290whp. With headers and 5psi it will do 290whp. With stock exhaust manifolds and 7psi it will do 290whp. If we can successfully find a suitable injector, we can run higher boost with headers and be in the 330+whp range.

how about having the injectors modified? there are shops that can increase the flow of a stock injector, but keeping the original spray pattern.

it's definitely critical, there are a number of parameters the DME depends on being linear in order for things like acceleration enrichment to function correctly.
