Dest's Japan Red E91 330d M Sport
I thought it was about time I started a thread to chart any mods and progress with the car
It is a 2005 manual with specced with the following from new: iDrive with Nav Pro, Hifi sound system, heated alcantara seats, and xenons. Most of all, it is Japan Red, which seems to be very rare! I'm yet to find another UK 330d in the same colour. Mods so far are: 19" diamond cut CSL reps Eibach Pro springs Dark line rear lights 330d badge removed Future mods to include: LED interior lights Remap Kufatec Fiscube Brighter angel eyes LED's Light window tint all round Roof rails delete New number plates and no doubt plenty of other mods! Some pics showing how it was when I bought it: Now debadged and dark lines fitted |

Do you not get the alcantara over there?
After trying both those and leather before buying my car I instantly knew I didn't want the leather, it seemed to be quite low quality compared to the leather in my old Audi RS4. Plus you don't slide around in these as much. They seem to be rare over here too I think |

I've just fitted the BMW Performance alcantara steering wheel cover, its much nicer than the plastic one and an exact match with the seats

Got my Dension 500s installed now (fitted by me, coded by Frobius), well pleased with it so far.
I'm now toying with adding the DAB to it, but struggling to find a decent subtle aerial to go with it! |

Loving the alcantara wheel cover. Wouldn't mind getting that and the alloy dash inserts done in alcantara too.. .would look nice I think.
Where did you get the darklines from mate? Are they OEM ones?

Yeah OEM lights
I was planning to buy some brand new on ebay.de as its a lot cheaper than UK suppliers even after including p&p from Germany! Then a set came up for sale on here so snapped them up |

Jammy. I'm tempted for mine as I saw someone post a pic of a LMB E91 touring on a BMW show stand with darklines on and they looked ace.

Nice car! By why delete the roof rails? I think they make the E91 what it is...

I've decided to go for a 335 style exhaust setup as I love the look on a Touring
I want to keep it as OEM and bolt straight on as possible, so picked up the first bit today from ebay. It was an absolute bargain £30 and only 3 miles up the road from me! Turned out he had a brand new 335d and had a tow bar fitted 250 miles after getting the car, so this hanger that was removed is literally as new. Well pleased! Now to find a diffuser, I can't decide whether to buy a stock 335d new one and keep it grey, paint it gloss black, red to match the bumper, or get a carbon one.... |
