E93 LED Halo Upgrade
I purchased a 2008 325i M Sport Convertible on the weekend and already hate the amber halos.
What do you recommend to upgrade them to look like the LCI halos? I have seen these which are cheaper than LUX http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2609278234...84.m1438.l2649 Experiences appreciated! |

You're obviously struggling with family issues, and I know how that can be, so don't worry about pics or anything.
They come with a two year warranty so I'll give them a go. Hope the wee one is OK. Ta S |

Sorry had a mad week took a quick one yesterday around 12:30pm and the second about 4pm today
Have to say pic don't do it justice due to the refresh rate I took about 20 pics and each time ended up taking it with the LEDs in off cycle. When you look at them the rigs look a lot brighter and fuller inc the outer ones. Not as good as the F30 or current E92 rings but as close as I have ever been to them I certainly prefer them to the GP Thunders or two LED bulbs kits I tried in past. With my other units always found the outer lacking a lot. Now once I turn off the auto dimming I will be happy.

Thanks for taking the time to do the above, appreciate it.
I had JuicedUp ones before but they failed. I was happy with the look they gave but fitting was awkward due to their length. Got my money back without question so good service there but poor product. Right time to order then... Can you turn the auto dimming off? I didn't think you could. S |

Magic, I presume you've had this new design only fitted for a few days? May ask how you're getting on in a month or two... Thanks for posting the pictures, they look good |

No problem previously had the other 12W ones and they did a very good job only ended up swapping them as they started to flicker for no reason really badly. in terms of light they did well as well but not as good as these
If I forget give me a msg on here and I'm sure I can update everybody.

Have just received a set this morning. They look very good.
Instructions talk about leaving the resistor/control pack outside the headlight so it isn't affected by heat inside. Did you do this or just stick it in? My fear is that I'll break the seal on the headlight by moving it out and also it doesn't look robust enough to survive the rigours of my engine bay... Ta |

I have always had mine inside I place it in the round back cover cap as I screw it back in once I fitted everything.
Never had problem, the spec on mine stated 55W of heat while running for I think 8 hours straight so shouldnt be a problem

Hi guys, I thought I would update you.
I bought some 40W Cree LED Bulbs (2 x 20w) that are fairly new in.: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H8-40W-CRE...item3ccfc1d3f2 They have deep heatsinks and come with 6 month warranty, so willing to give them a go. I will post some pics when they arrive next week. |

I managed to fit the bulbs tonight. They are SO bright I was actually slightly shocked!
I tried to take some photos however the refresh rate caused issues with my iphone! They look so much better in the flesh. I'm very pleased - I would love to compare to the new 3 series. |
