I called Port Hueneme directly and they said they are expecting the ship to dock on the 10th. Hoping and praying its gets in earlier...

i'll check again tomorrow evening. It still has a few days to get through the canal to make it by the 6th, but it'll definitely be the 10th if it takes another week to hit the canal.

So, if the Hojin was to be in Port Hueneme on June 6th....when would it have to be in the Panama Canal by?

Or even better question, how long does a ship take from start of the Panama Canal to Port Hueneme?

Completely extrapolating here, but it seems that the ship is averaging about 20 miles per hour. So, that's 480 miles covered per day. That means it has to be no more than 3K miles from PH to get there by the 6th. The canal itself looks to be at least 3K, probably closer to 4K miles from PH, so I don't see how it's possible that the ship would arrive to port on the 6th.

Agreed. I'd really expected it to be going through the canal already. Looks like the date of the 10th is more likely. That implies it should enter the canal on Wednesday (5/31) or so...

Yeah I'm gonna plan on that too. The 10th looks more realistic than the 6th. Nevertheless, if our cars fly through the VPC with no problems then it shouldn't be much longer until we have them in our hands!

I have to admit, I completely underestimated how tough the wait would be. When I ordered, I foolishly thought it would actually be "fun" to order a car the way I wanted, track its progress, and have something to look forward to at the start of summer. Man, was I stupid
