I need help deciding on which size i should get. I got a e92 on stock suspension and thinking bout dropping the car with sport springs in the near future. Which would look best on the car 18s or 19s? Plus im a noob when it comes to wheel and tire sizes. what offsets should i get to avoid rubbing w/o fender rolling?

the Advan RS with 18" will look larger than it is because of its spokes curving all the way to the rim.

I love my 18".

If you're looking purely for performance you want 18's, for looks go with 19's...simple as that.

yeah after researching a bit more im leaning towards 18s but i dont know what offsets would fit without rolling fenders and what tire sizes

Advan's recommended size is 18x8.5 ET32 and 18x9.5 ET35. Those are trouble free fitments for the E92.

235/40/18 and 265/35/18 is a good choice for these rims.

The edge of the Advan RS rim is different from the typical wheels such as stock BMW rims and the replica wheels I have seen. The Advan RS has a exposed protruding lip that is very prone to curb damage. It means the curb protector of the tyre is actually useless. Obviously no problem if you never touch the curb, but its better to know this before you buy.

I don't know for sure, but I think it may rub unless the fender is rolled.

Love that wheel setup, I saw your other thread and you listed the offsets/spacers for the VMR, just wondering what your offsets on the advans are? Thanks

It' comes down to personal preference in terms of looks. I personally think that 19" wheels look best on the E9X Chassis. The setups that will work perfectly are listed below.

ADVAN RS:
18x8.5 ET32 - 235/40/18
18x9.5 ET35 - 265/35/18

19x8.5 ET32 - 235/35/19
19x9.5 ET35 - 265/30/19 or 275/30/19 (depending on ride height/camber/tire choice)

Hello, I'm also looking to buy Advan RS 18'' wheels.
But i would like to go for same size for all 4 sides.
I checked with Advan dealer, and he confirmed the size which im looking for

For 2007 BMW E93 328i
245/35/18 on the 18x8.5 ET32 setup.
Is 245 ok with the front?

Your car is sick! someone is selling 18's locally but his tire size is 275/35 on the rear on Hankook V12's. would they fit my car? or i would i have to roll my fenders?

Best place to buy Advan wheels?

The above black coupe w/ the dark gunmetal wheels, is pretty much the look im going for, except I have a sedan. That car looks amazing simply put.

I have wheel insurance, live in PA with awful roads, and am still getting 19s. 18s look alright, but I will ALWAYS second guess myself for not getting 19s the first time around. I could def see myself buying 18s, not liking them,and then buying them in 19s.

Having scoured the wheel forums for the past 3 months I have a theory...

Wheel vendors prefer to sell you 19s for bigger profits and requirement of new tires. Many people complain of the ride on 19s in the m3 forum, etc saying they would move back down to 18s if they could. I don't think 18's look too small, but 19's are one step away from too big. They look good on a thicker car. M3, 5 series, etc. but those cars can also support a thicker tire giving it taller profile at the same 35% or whatever.

I've been running Advan RS for almost 5 years (yes, I was one of the first in the country to get them).
I'm running 18x8.5 up front with a 255/35 and 9.5 rear with a 265/35. As you can see, I'm lowered quite a bit and never have rubbed anywhere. I've never regretted getting the 18". You can be the judge, but I've never had anyone tell me they look too small. The 18" are lighter and I can get the most rubber on the wheel without the hassles of rolling fenders and rubbing.
The wheels have held up fantasticly as well. Just minor knicks from stones and that's about it. Put about 28K miles and 10 track days on them.
I'm VERY impressed with how well these wheels have held up, the quality and craftsmanship and how well they look.
I like Advan's so much that I ordered a set of Advan AVS T5 for my wife's 2012 X3.

I think the ET32 can be slightly aggressive for 245/40/18 front tyres on a coupe. I expect it will rub over bumps at full steering lock. Since you are looking at 245/35/18, maybe the reduced sidewall willl help. Otherwise you can do some camber adjustment. The front wheels are also available with ET38 offset, which I understand is used on AW235xi's car above.

I'm running a 5mm spacer up front so it ends up being et33 net.

We run a 265/35 R-comp on the front of our e92 race car. There is slight rubbing and I'm not sure what the camber is, but it's a bit more aggressive than what you'd want to run on the street.
I would think you could run a 245/35 easily up front, maybe even a 255/35 on 18".

Agreed. 245/35/18 on a +32 8.5" wheel should be no problem!
