iPod connectivity & DVD

Apologies if this has been asked 1,000 times before, but I've just bought a 2006 E90 330d auto with iDrive (CCC?) and intend to drive it until it collapses underneath me with old age (or is destroyed by UK roads, whichever comes sooner). So....

I want to (1) operate my iPod through the iDrive, and (2) watch DVDs.

Can anyone tell me how these things are done and what needs fitted? Is it worth the bother?

I have an AUX input under the arm rest, and a multichanger in the boot. The car has bluetooth too if that matters a jot.

Cheers!

you'd need the USB connection installed to use your ipod via iDrive. BMW quote around £500.

no idea about the DVD.

i've got the BMW cable instead of the changer.

Also, i think for video you will need to get something like this....

It will also solve your ipod issue.

ALos, picture of the car!

Great! Thanks for the ideas guys. Plenty to mull over. Not going to be cheap by the looks of it but nothing about BMWs are.

Im a huge fan of the Dension 500 I had it installed in my 5 series then ripped it out and put into my recent cls (swapped the dips and it worked lol). I did not need for this new bmw as it came with the usb which the ipod plugged directly into.

Dension is a great product used it for well over 3 years. Never let me down!!!

Best bet is to get CIC retrofitted.
If you are going to spend 200-300 on Dension kit and another 200 on the video input, then its worth of going for CIC retrofit.

Other option is to google Kufatec Kits.
