Pre-LCI e90 AE wired to dedicated DRL's for power?
So I am updating all of my bulbs, AE, DRL and Fogs. I also bought a DAEOS harness but I am not sure if I want the AE on all the time and also the issues that occur when in Auto mode. I am OK with having the dedicated DRL bulbs on during the day but also want the AE on. If I were to simply run a wire from the DRL to the AE this would provide power to the AE when the DRL were hot during the day. Then at night when they go out the AE would get power normally when the headlights were on. I would have to use a diode to stop current flow back from the AE to the DRL when the headlight turns on and power normally is sent to the AE.
The only issue I can see is the flash to pass which powers up the DRL bulbs when the xenon headlights are on. If the AE was on with power normally sent during headlight operation and also got power momentarily from the DRL when flash to pass is activated would that cause any issues with the LED AE. Hope someone has tried this and can comment. Thanks

So no one has powered the Angel Eyes with the DRL power? This seems like a real easy way to power them. Does anyone have any thoughts on this working electrically?
