Sony Ericsson W580i HELP!
I finally paired the phone with my car but for some reason will not download the address book. Does anyone have this phone and if so can you tell me how to do this? Thanks.

Never mind. Just called BMW and they said if it does not download at the time of pairing it will not do it. So any of you looking to buy this phone Don't. It is not compatible.

Every Sony Ericsson phone I have had (K700i, Z520 and K790a) has paired and synched perfectly with my 330i. You need to give it time... it takes a fair amount of time for the first phone book transfer. Try it again: Pair it up, and go for a drive, and your entries should be there. I would be very surprised if your phone book didn't transfer after a little while.

I have a w580i and its synched perfectly. Seriously. Try repeating the process. It worked instantaneously when I did it. It was no different than when I paired my w900.

My old w800i worked fine. My current phone (Blackjack) does not but I still prefer my new phone over the old. Can just dial from the phone.

Hey Bayern, have you experienced cracked keys yet? My 2 is cracked and my 7 is starting to. Apparently, its a pretty widespread problem and people are going ape s*** over sony quality control. The crack is more like a bend then a crack for me though. There's no difference in function. So I'm not so sure it's that big of a deal. I'm really just waiting for the W910. Just wondering if the "cracked" key issue is as big as everyone's making out to be?
