LED Angel Eyes for non LCI E90

Hi All,

Thought you might be interested in my new headlights

These are as close to OEM as you can get for the pre facelift E90.
They have self adjusting projector ball for the HID and full led rings for the sidelights.

There are no dash errors for the HID or the LED rings. It was a real pain to do, but I think its worth it. They are as bright as the OEM leds on the latest 3 series as you can see in the third pic, it was a very sunny day.

Just the remote fade to connect when I have some time.

Mits

Good mod, but a few comments.

Not true. They are aftermarket DEPO headlights. Going LCI is obviously far more OEM. These look obviously aftermarket. Do look nice though.

Why would there be issues? E90 ballast kits/cancellers have been around for years and all you need for the LED rings is the correct resistance which has also been done before.. I'm legitimately interested in why this was a difficult job because we saw no difficulties doing mine? Not just being facetious...

Mits
Remember to fit a diode into the pos so that it doesn't feed current back into the light unit as this was spiking them and throwing dash errors. Hope that helps.

Sounds like an EvoT battle has spread over the WWW

Does Teddy fit these bulbs?

They will be from SSDD and I imagine Teddy will fit them for you if required so no need to worry about fitment.

Not at all. Just feeding back because I've done a very similar mod and it's always nice to see different people's take on things. I didn't think my tone was aggressive in the last post? Although I did point out that it isn't OEM.. Then again who cares about OEM.

Hey Mega,

Yep, true maybe its not as close to OEM..wrong choice of words.

I've read people having issues with the DEPO units with errors, could be down to the HIDS, just pleased that I dont have any.
I've only seen people change the 8 original bulbs to LED ones, not the full rings...apologies if its out there, I just could'nt find it to buy it.

Difficult to do, because its the first time i'm ever done anything like this, i'm not an experinced modder and baking lights in the oven was scary

No EvoT battle, its always good to hear peoples opnions

raf555 the splitters are from Teddy from SSDD

Dave,Mits, it wasn't a dig at either of you personally, just a sarcastic observation at how Evotechnic seems to be imploding for a second time!

I'm not convinced a group forum hug over @EvoT will assuage some pissed off forum members, it's only a matter of time until it's 'Hammertime' for some.

Shit happens, Ian. One of the sponsors on there got their knickers in a twist. Let's not pretend that this site has never had any issues with forum sponsors? (Alufelgen anyone?? )

Let's not take this topic off topic any further. The fact of the matter is simply that mits has done a great job with this mod and it looks great.

I'm sure he can get hold of them, give him a bell.

I bought mine months ago..just been too busy to fit...otherwise this is what I would have gone for.
