N55 downpipe
Do catted aftermarket downpipes have the same gains as non-catted, if so wats the difference. And those running the non catted version on the N55 how is that rotten egg smell since there are no cats.

The smell isn't as bad as you would expect, not a rotten egg smell at all. I just notice more gas smell at times, not while driving with windows down.
What DP's are you looking at? iCarbon or AR?

You do smell it when at a light but only when you drive hard or you have wind blowing from behind.. Windows up I havent smelled it yet.
It not horrible but its a very noticable gas smell. Like someone said it smells fast and I love it |

Catless downpipes are always going to yield better performance gains. We are actually running a group buy on the AR Design N55 4" downpipes right now for those of you who are interested in picking up a set!!

I spoke with Harold at HP Autowerks and he told me there was only a 4 HP difference from the iCarbon cattless vs. catted. I'm leading towards the catted. The catted ones are high flow and I like the idea of not having to take off my DP for service due to code issues....
