Yes, it has. I'm trying hard to not go overboard though. I'm hoping I can stay off Meth but man, it's a constant struggle especially after you've tried it. I'm not sure which is worse, Crystal Meth or Methanol.

Right?! I did find a place online for under $1100 new. I'm about to pull the trigger but first hoping a local dealership can match the price. Where's that finger-crossed smiley?!

I think I could live without it. I didn't spray much while daily driving. Now driving without a tune or LSD ....that's an impossible feat.

Sell you mine for $12,000. 2008 AW 335i sedan with Premium/Sports/Nav (loaded with everything except Cold weather package) and 72,500 miles. Inside and out it's brand new. Reason I'm selling so cheap is it has a spun rod bearing and I don't want to take the time to fix it, repair cost will vary (estimated $1,500 - $3,000). KBB lists it at $16,000 with an engine issue, fixed up is $23,000. Everyone on here will vouch for me on how well I took care of the car, I just moved on and bought a Jeep as my wife wants my 335 gone. No idea how it spun. I brought it to the dealer one day for an itake valve cleaning and they returned it to me with a spun bearing. They claim it was not their doing

Hey guys, can someone please give me a crash course on selecting the right wheels for my e90? Syndicategt mentioned I should only buy CSL style wheels because of their strength against CA roads, but what does CSL stand for? The only abbrev I could find was 'Can't-Stop-Laughing'. Any specific brands I should focus on (Avant-Guarde, Miro, Alufelgen?) Thanks in advance!

Hi there. I think you got me confused. I mentioned a caution regarding purchasing replica CSL wheels. CSL are a tyle (usually 8 spoke) and were originally on the CSL M3 which was a light weight track car. They are usually made of cast aluminum, this process creates a weaker wheel, but is less expensive. Poorly made cast wheels, and all cast wheels in general, have a tendency of cracking easier than forged or other types. I also cautioned you about buying 19" due to the fact we have terrible roads and your ride will suffer more than 18". My 19" Alufelgen's cracked with about 20K miles on them, but they are so cheap I just had to buy a new rim.

That being said, many guys run these cast replica's without any issues at all. I do recommend doing it right the first time and buying real BBS, Volk, Morr, HRE, etc....if you can swing that kind of money. If not, mine are more than 50% off and nearly brand new

Oh, you're referring to the wheel style that came with the Competition Package on the E46 M3...got it. Thanks for the detailed explanation! I'm not so concerned about the ride comfort as I am about durability.

I agree with you about doing it right the first time. My Type 162s are curb rashed and my front left is slightly bent, according to the guy who just re-balanced them. When I get up to 80+, the front end starts vibrating badly. By the time I pay to have these repaired, might as well upgrade to a new set.

Your Morr's would be a perfect fit...but your price is too high for my taste. :-)

true that! gotta pay to play. with the rep cast wheel, i avoided a lot of pot holes. now with forged wheel (volks TE37) i eat potholes for breakfast! LOL.

it's a pain on the wallet but long run will save you money. and forged wheels hold their values.
also most forged wheels are light weight, so you will benefit on the increasing handling performance too.
do it once, do it right.

yea, try to pick up some take-off real CSL or M3 style 219M on the forum. they are in pretty decent price, with tires around ~$2200 which is pretty good. and they are made by BBS so quality is assured.

yep, i can totally vouch for Will. Stand up guy, he took care his car very well, and the car was top notch before the dealer screwed it up. it was a beauty!

just an example:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=661586

that will be good pick too IMO. those are made by BBS and they are forged. so quality and strength are excellent. downside, they are a little on heavy side, i think they are about 24 lbs per wheel but still better than stock 162's 32lbs.

Nice find...thanks! I like that they're forged, and the price is more in par with what I want to spend...but IMO, they're some ugly a$$ wheels! LOL. Performance is prob #1...looks is a very close 2nd.

Eric, what wheels were you driving on before the Volk TE37SL? That's the look I'm after.

Check these out, inexpensive Spun forged rims from Mod Bargains.... 23 lbs each is pretty good.

http://www.**********s.com/Sportline...Wheels-BMW.htm

I still think mine are a better deal, even if they are a few hundred more.
