Thats great cvc 22349a, looking forward to hear your thoughts on them.
I have to say so far that the bumpstops LuckyU suggested in combination with the PS springs/FSD have been nothing short of incredible. The car rides quite smoothly now, but cornering is flatter than before. I've let another member of this board try my setup and he also agrees that the ride is quite nice. I'm very happy with the results.

BTW, it seems we've learned alot in this thread, it would be nice to capture this information as a sticky at the top of the page, or at least change the title of the thread so it might help more folks.

I just ordered the m3/z4 bumpstops. I have the ZSP package on my 335 E90. I will take a picture comparing them when I get my new Bumpstops and replace them with my stock ones. Whenever that will be. I guess it depends on when I get my new bumpstops. Don't hold your breath.

Maybe we can try eachother's rides when I'm down at Sonic MS for the PS springs.. Did you install the Dinan rear shock mounts?

This is proving to be a very interesting thread.
I have tried FSD/Eibach Pro-kit previously and was never really happy with it, something didnt feel quite right somehow. Could it have been the reduced suspension travel combined with the original bumpstop interference issue? Also, why do you Guys think that the BMW Performance (yellow) springs work even better than Eibach? Thanks Yves |

Just make sure you use the correct bumpstops for the application.

Thats interesting as FSD/Eibach seems to be the default option for most people? Perhaps the tide is changing as different combos are tried out...
I would really like to try FSD out again but need to get the best spring match right this time. Matching the Performance spring with the V2 bumpstops makes a lot of sense to me. Can someone give me Dan@Uniteds email address please? Yves |

So, reading this again, you are looking for more 'performance' from your springs rather than 'comfort'?
The BMW spring set is stiffer than Eibach PK so should be a bit less comfortable on the road too. Correct? Yves |

I did it for better handling but without losing too much comfort - and it's exceeded my expectations. Compared to my VW where I've put bilsteins sports + h&r sports, the BMW PS is light years better for both handling and comfort.

If I were going to use lowering springs other than BMW PS, I'd use the E36 M3 F and E85 Z4 R bstops.

This is a thread with the other measurements: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641140 This is a thread with a photo of the M3 front vs. OEM Sport: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=437485 I hope this information helps someone else. It took forever for me to piece all of the information together. I am happy with the M3/Z4 combo with H&R sport spring so far. I installed them this past weekend and will post pics and a review of the setup at some point... |

cvc, ENIGMA, Sonorous,
Thanks for all the info, very helpful. My set up is going to be Koni FSD & Eibach Pro-kit with Dinan rear shock mounts. Sounds like the E36/Z4 route is best for me. Cheers Yves |

Hey,
I initially bought the e36 bumpstop for the fronts and once I got the V2 performance bumpstop P/N, I returned e36 one. From what I remember the front V2 Perf bumpstop was smaller than the e36 one. Does anyone have a pic of them side by side. |

Based on sonorous' measurements and mine, the E36M3 F bstops are approx. 1/4" shorter than the F PS bstops.
