19' Beyern Rapp on a 2006 E90

So I been shopping around for month now for the right rim and I finally decided to go with the Beyern Rapp's. I was torn between getting the 19's or the 20's and just stuck with the 19's to retain some of that driveability. Now my question is does the guy that Im talking to know what he is talking about when he is trying to suggest a +40 on a 19x8.5 for the front and a +45 19x9.5 in the back? All my research has told me to stay around a +30 to +35 and that what my original order was. A 19x8.5 +30 front and 19x9.5 +30 rear. Insight? and recommended tires too. Im thinking of going with a 225/30/19 front and a 275/35/19 rear.
