This morning, my wife woke me up at 6 in the morning so I can start driving up I-95 to Portland, ME. I actually got here a little before 8am, even after my pit stop at Starbucks on the highway.
OEM ZCP rims + Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 combo: I only drove on the new rims / tires for about 10-15 miles yesterday, so can't really tell how well they perform. Today, I drove approximately 130 miles to get to ME and all I can say is WOW. I had the same tires on my E55 so I'm familiar with the quality of the tires. The car drives like a dream with the non-RFTs on. The car feels much smooth with the PS2s compared to the PS ZPs. The wheels also feel very solid, no vibrations at highway cruising speed from 50mph all the way up to 100mph. The whole combo just feels very, very solid. Tomorrow: Vorsteiner trunk, Hamann side skirts installation

Another set back? Hopefully not
Here I am, sitting at the dealer's service lounge again. After my little trip to the coast up in Maine today (by the way, awesome drive with the new ZCP rims + PS2), when I was about to go home, the SOS malfunction light popped up. I called BMW Assist and it is working fine. Strange, huh?
So, I decided to drive around a little bit and see if the warning light would go away coz it happened in the past with my E90. The light persisted. So, I decided to cut my trip short and head back to MA. On my way back, the air bag warning light showed up as well. "WTF" was the thought that come through my mind....... At this point, AM / FM / Sirius / AUX / iPod are not working at all, but Nav remains functional. It seems to me that this is another blown fuse in the car.

Man, you don't mess around! I can't wait to see your car after it's finished! Everything as been very tastefully done, just like your old E90. Great job!

Thanks, hopefully I'm going to have as much luck as with the E90. It's weird that the car's electrical system keeps pooping out on me.

Still waiting for the SA to tell me what's wrong with the car......
Great, it's another blown module on the car. This time is the TCU...... Don't know why it would crap out all of a sudden. Waiting for the repair to finish.....

Ordered a couple of OEM parts today, and here they go:
1. Rear Cup Holder 51 16 6 963 909 2. Rear Oddments Tray 51 16 6 960 686 They should be here Tuesday. I think #1 replaces the oddments tray area in between the tambour door and the rear ashtray. #2 replaces the rear ashtray.

Another week has passed, some progress was made, but had to take few steps back again. It's time update the schedule for next week:
1. Reinstall Hamann side skirts 2. Install Vorsteiner trunk 3. Install OEM black carbon fiber trim 4. Full exterior / interior detail 5. Take some "official picture" of the ride Follow up list: 1. Hamann front bumper 2. M3 DCT steering wheel / paddles 3. M3 Shadowline side rear view mirror (pre-painted, ECE spec) 4. Shadowline window trim 5. OEM interior parts for CF overlay 6. OEM interior parts for OEM CF trim 7. Vorsteiner V35 vented hood

Probably will do it Tuesday coz I need to wait for the arrival of the rear ashtray. I don't want to pry the trim off of the ashtray coz it's a freakin' PITA

Nope, coz wife wouldn't let me mount them. Do you want some pics of the wheels in the box still?
That's also the reason why I'm sporting the OEM Style 163 (M3 ZCP) wheels now.....
