2013 e93 335is - can i replace HK amp with EPS amp?

Hey guys,
I have replaced all of my HK speakers with Bavsound. I love Bavsound's stuff, and wish I could put their amp in too, like I did on my 2013 M3 with HiFi rather than HK, but since I can't I am wondering if the best and simplest amp upgrade I can do is to swap in an Enhanced Premium Sound amp?

Would this work? They are both MOST amps and both use fiber optic, correct?

Thanks so much for your help.

The Bavsound speakers are just begging for more power...

If you reprogram the Head Unit for Hi Fi or use a Most Converter
you can put in any amp or dsp amp you want.

Technic makes a pnp harness for this but it's not quite pnp.

Some people here have used the EPS amp .
Its suppose to be plug and play but I think you need to give it
a better power cable.

I am not a fan of the BMW stereo system I think aftermarket will always be
better if you don't cheap out.

Bavsound amp is a remarketed audio/tech fisher BMW7
With one of these you would have to figure out channel assignment
and tune it . It would be less channels but with way more sound quality
and presence.

Thanks for the response ctuna. I do know that you can do that process, but I would prefer to do a direct swap if possible - doubling the power without changing all that much else.

I think other places like this may have them to.

You can buy them at the above on ebay I would think you would at least
need to run a power cable to them . don't know about the rest.

Thanks. Yeah that is my big question - is it literally just unplug one and plug in the other? or is there anything else I have to do. Looking at all the plugs etc on each, I think they are basically the same but I think the Individual has one additional element that gets plugged in...

Try searching for "Individual Audio" in the advanced search limited
to the audio forum.

If you double the power, the logic 7 speakers won't like that. I think they are rated around 40 watts; certainly no more than 60 watts. You should upgrade to the BMW individual Audio speakers, if you upgrade the Amp. Best place to find a set is on the M3 forums, then eBay.

mweisdorfer I have the BAVsound speakers and subs, not the HK

Any thoughts on that? I think it would work - the BAVsound speakers can handle the Revenant AMP with 1300w...

Bavsound does not publish or has not published there speaker
specs as far as I know. But since they have used the BMW 7
from audiotec fisher you might be able to use that as an indirect
indicator.

Also they are suppose to match you up with speakers that are the
correct ohms and power rating for the stock system you have.
And there are three basic systems plus the 1A

I think you should be ok given what you stated.

$600 for a used M3 individual audio amp has its pros & cons.

Pros are obviously you get surround sound & power in one package deal for a good price.

Con's - it's 8-10 years old and there are way better after mkt options.
