320i operating temperature

Just trying to establish the optimum operatiting temperature for the coolent in my 320i.

Did a 7 mile stop start journey taking 20 minutes and the temperature just managed to get to 93. Should the temp be higher than that as I heard these engines run hot?

how did u check the temperature?

90-95c is normal operating water temp

doesnt it take into consideration outside temperature and if you have a lot of load ie lights heaters/heated screnn etc on for it to work?
