Should I get downpipes?

Looking for some advice from you guys.

Running the Cobb & bms dci

Many ppl have suggested downpipes, does it make a gratifying difference?

Yes you will pass now it is codes only.
Do not get them, your car will only spool faster and run faster lol

i have active autowerks dp's and theres not really anymore smell then stock because of the cats in the midpipes.

but definitely a big difference in power with a tune

Catted downpipes... why doesn't anyone go for them?! how much performance loss do they offer over cattless downpipes?

Running downpipes for more then two years will most likely throw CEL codes
there is a group of people on an other website working on a solution for this
it can't be linked here so just google it. That being said downpipes sound beast..!!! and you do get a bump in whp

Are downpipes necessary when it comes to reliability and longevity of a tuned engine? I am tuned with a fmic and running 17 psi. I am happy wiht the power and will not be modding from this point on for power, but if it is a mod that will keep the engine in better shape I will definitely do it, which is why I plan on getting a charge pipe soon. Is downpipes just for performance, am I safe keeping my stock pipes in with my tune?

It takes away a lot of back pressure on these tiny turbos we have,
So if you plan on keeping your car for a while and running a tune it is good to help prolong the life of the stock turbos.
As a bonus you get better performance and spool.
It's a win win scenario.
