Custom FMIC installed

I took my car from my fabricator last night to try out my custom fmic.

The cars not finished, but last night was important so I had to take it out...

The stock intercooler is ridiculously small. Also this car has so much worthless plastic crap all over the place.

I was thinking about getting the spearco intercooler but it was too small for what im doing.

The cores diameters are, 22x10x4, with 2, 2 foot silicon elbows and SS end tanks.

I havent dynoed it yet, because I still have more stuff to put on it before i do. But last night it did its job. No more heat soak. No more blasting the heater. Temp constantly stayed at 220-230.

I have saw the temp raise to 245ish in the afternoon tho when it was 101 degrees outside, cruising. Ill be doing an oil cooler upgrade next for that.

All in all the intercooler did its job and its a good investment.

The car has custom fmic with custom ducts work. A lot of stuff had to be cut off for it to fit, and other things had to be relocated.

Now its back in the shop under going more stuff.

Heres some pictures of it. Sorry I havent got pictures of the bumper off. Ill get them later. These are just quick pictures nothing detailed.

FMIC installed

Some quick pictures of what I needed the car for last night...

Holy crap that would scare me to death to see my car like that. If I ever did that I'd only want to see it when the surgery is completed. Kind of like watching your kid being born via c-section.

In mexico... We kinda owned that gas station for a while. There was 14 of us?

The gas station guys were chill tho. They didnt give us a hard time. Some people were comming up asking questions about the cars.

Awesome, looks great. I want to see you run against that blue Active M3...post vids when you do.

And i thought FMIC just lowers the charged air temperature, and have little to no effect on the oil temperature?

If I'm not mistaken, the first couple of pics ARE the engine radiator. He said he didn't have any bumper-off pics of the FMIC.

I gotta get the vids from johnny (stage 1 m3). We did 4 runs. 2 of the runs he got 1 CL. The other 2 he got me by 1/2 a CL.

Hes stage 1 AA s/c m3 on 101 octane. Exhaust no cats stuff like that.

Everyone that was there wasnt below 400 rwhp (except for me....). I was suprised how the 335i did tho. Not too bad

Cars that were there were

Stage 4 996 tt
stage 3 s4 (470ish rwhp)
c5 z06 ( 460 rwhp)
300zx (480rwhp)
like 4-5 stage 3 s/c m3's
z3m coupe
m6
2 m5's (e60)
e39 m5
2 gixser 600's.
stage 2 s4.

Ya it only lower air temp. But I was noticing even in " heat soak " temps it wasnt loosing power.

Ya thats the radiator. I have to get the pictures from my fabricator of the bumper off. Basicly is just 22 inch across, 10 inches high, 4 inches deep. Its 2, 2 foot silicon elbows comming out of the end tanks.

Bumper is the stock OEM one just modified with a custom air ducts for the intercooler. Later on im going to take the side vents out and put custom air ducts and oil cooler ducts as soon as I reroute the oil cooler.
