What wing is this?

Is this an m-tech trunk spoiler? I bought the car with the wing already on it.

I put it in my signature assuming it was after a brief research... but if it's not, i'll need to correct it.

I'm not really fan of it... did you take it off yourself? If yes, how did you proceed? Did it leave any marks?

It's just a BMW rear deck spoiler.

Mine was just held on by 3m tape. I just used fishing wire after it sat in the sun all day and it pulled right off.

Smart. Thanks! I'll try that. I want to put a small trunk lip instead of this spoiler.

If it's held with 3m tape, you can use a hair dryer and floss. I read on other forums that fishing wire (depending on it material) can scratch the paint.
I've taken off my perf spoiler with hair dryer and floss. Just be patient as the floss may break once in a while due to the heat...Took me about...30-40min with the help of my dad.

Thanks for the advice man.... Jealous on the Monaco Blue color

What do you use to clean the residue off the trunk once the wing is off? I was thinking about using Goo gone?

Luckily for me, there wasn't too much. I just used the dryer and peeled off any large excess chunks of the tape that were still on the trunk. Then I just used wiping alcohol to wipe down the surface. I have heard others of using goo gone with success though. I just didn't want to buy a whole bottle for a one-time use. gl and be patient.

I've used goo gone with perfect results removing ugly dealer emblems, just make sure to clean it off afterwards with some quality car wash soap.

So far so good... except for one little issue with a coolant hose blowing up when I was 3hr away from home... but I got that fixed for 300 bones at the stealership... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=833052

Oh, and I hit a cat a month ago which busted the front bumper + grill... Got that fixed too...

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=826222

Besides that, the car is great... I love it!
