I can help you get out of you some of your mods to give you a better chance to sell. I have a stock airbox and i'm sure someone can hook you up with the chrome version of the kidney grills. That should help get you out of the hole. Why not also take out the procede and sell it too? At that point, it's mostly stock and car max won't really give a crap about the drop.

Well I do have all the stock parts (except grilles, which broke upon removal) so going back to stock wouldn't be an issue. I just didn't really want to do the work and figured someone might buy it like this. Besides, dealers were lowballing me on trade-ins without even knowing about the mods.

I have a guy coming to look at it tomorrow, so if he wants it as is, I'm selling it. If no other interest, I'll probably slowly start demodding.


The Procede is a V3, so its not even worth my time taking it out to sell. It adds a little pep to the car, so I feel its better just leaving it in there.




Oh, and CarMax offered me $14k... so I doubt just a simple demodding is going to bring their offer up almost 6 grand.

Carmax sucks. I took my 335 there to get an estimate earlier this year and they offered me 5 grand less than what the vehicle was going for at auction. I would have scooped your 335 up in a heartbeat if it was for sale a few months ago. I don't think it should be that hard of a sale.

Not demodding quite yet guys, gimme a week or so to try and sell it as is. Don't want to do the work if I don't have to.

I'm looking at a new '11 WRX hatch. I know its a downgrade, but I want something AWD and with a warranty. Plus the limited model has leather, heated seats, sunroof, HID's, bluetooth, etc so I'll still have all the luxury features and way more room for gear to go biking, snowboarding, etc. Probably getting rid of my jeep too, which is why I want the AWD.

Carmax has too many 335i in their inventory. As everyone on the forum already knows Carmax offer is way too low. Clean the car up and put some ads on the forum, CARS.com, and Craigslist. I think you should be able to get at least 18,500-20,500 . Does the car have a clean title and clean carfax report ?

Working out a trade-in deal with the dealership now. It won't be quite what I want, but I'm talking the price of the new car down instead. We'll see what happens. Seems anyone that was interested locally, isn't anymore.

I've had 3x more interest in the roof rack than I have in the car haha. I still need it because I ride all the time and putting my bike in the backseat is a huge PITA. I'll let you guys know about it as soon as I sell the car.

Good luck with the sale. Its a great looking car. I am looking for one with lower miles but your price is pretty enticing. I would agree with other posters here that removing the mods is the way to go. The springs would be a pain to remove but offer someone a case to help with that this weekend. You really limit your buying audience with the lowered suspension I would think.

I have a 328i, and i've definately been looking into upgrading to a 335i. How does the interior look? I couldn't get a good look at it. Im down here in norfolk, but I would definately be considered interested in your car

Interior is in great condition. I get all kinds of comments on the brown leather too, people love it.
