KW V1 Problem clunk thump
Just had KW V1 coilovers installed handling is great! but ride is a little stiffer than I thought it would be, but I am okay with that. the problem is I hear a clunk/thump when I go over bumps on the road or up my driveway. I use to hear from both passenger and drivers side, but when I removed the wheels to check endlinks(what I read is common problem) I stopped hearing the drivers side clunk. I still hear the passenger side though and I noticed a mark on the passenger side bottom of the endlink, am I too low?. Pic Below

I got no issues with mine. I have them set to the KW specs at the moment.... Maybe try that? The back is snug, front slight wheel gap. Going lower next summer and hopefully not having this happen

i'm running the kw v1 on my 08 335 xi coupe also and i'm running 19 inch wheels 235/35/19 et 37 front + 265/30/19 et 33 rear and do not have or hear any thumps on my from the suspension.
Is that your front strut bar knocking on a control rod? Maybe your front strut bar need to be look at and its not the KW's It doesn't look like there is much travel room between the 2. ill take a pic of how mine's look in a bit so we can compare. |

An update I have not heard the clunk in a while, and have decided not to get rid of the kw coilovers.

If you're having a similar issue to me, seems like you are, and the reason the sound went away was because the end-link broke.

Not sure if this is the same issue, but there is a video of the noise and also the correction 3/4 down on the page.

I also have kw v1s on an xi with stock end links. No chunks or odd noises. I am in the bottom 25% of the front adjustment range.
