May I speak to officer "so and so". When are his day off and when is his best available time so I don't bother him?. Please and Thank You.

Request the court date during that cops' day off. You show up. He doesn't. You win.
i like your idea, i also heard some people just keep altering the court dates until the cop get's fed up and just doesn't show up

AFAIK, you're only allowed to postpone once, up to two weeks before the court date. Says so right on the notice you get about your first court date. Unless things have changed over the last few years. I suppose if you come up with a totally exceptional story for your second postponement, that might work, but you also risk when you show up to court of having the judge ask you why you kept putting it off and having the cop do the same to you. seen that done myself in court when i showed up.

Sorry for the holy thread revival, but I'm in the process of deciding what % tint to get for the front.

To OP: Did you have ceramic tints? Cause I heard ceramic tints are less visible than other tints.

When everyone sometime down the road always gets a ticket, i am guessing you don't mind paying up for it evereytime they catch you right? (i mean you can get lucky and never get pulled over, but who knows xD). I say drop the idea of getting tint.

Of all my friends who has gotten front windows tinted, all of them have had one or more ticket. I have also worked 3 years in a car dealership and you have no idea how many vehicles we get in the shop that has to get their tint removed from court/cops order. What's more is that you obviously know that it is against the law to have front windows tinted so you can't fight it off when you are handed the fine.

If you HAVE to go with tint tho, then i guess the lighter the better. Also depends on what color your vehicle is because the contrast can play a huge difference on whether or not the tint is easily noticable. Good Luck!

Thanks for the insight. After driving around and scouting for 3ers with tints, I think I am going to just do the rears. I know lots of people find it ugly, yadi yada... but honestly I don't care. If it will reduce temps a bit, then I'll be happy.

Nothing beats getting pulled over and not letting the cop have a reason to ticket you
