not in recent history (6 auctions). auctions are on Fridays, full list of cars is usually on Wednesday-Thursday area. but e92 m3 is not likely to be there by looking at history

you need a lot for cars with an office on premises .....which would basically make it a dealership, then you can get your license

yeah its Adesa. its 7 minutes away from where I live. I bought my previous car there too (08 A4). couldn't find my 335i there, manual coupes are rare, my current s2000 is impossible to find at auction too

no price history for Boston for past 6 auctions, other auctions sold them from 6k to 9k. should expect to pay around 8k for it....sometimes you get lucky and pay less, but i wouldnt go without at least $7k-8k in pocket.

5sp swap is about $500. Or you could be baller and find a euro 6sp. Might be a good idea since I'm currently cruising around 4k on the highway with the 5sp

But not to get OT, 8k seems like a decent price. Really depends on the maintenance history of the car. Are these available? Are we able to inspect the car before we buy? Hear it run, test drive, etc? Not sure how a car auction works.

no maintenance history in auctions (usually thats only available if you by from a person, private party), inspect yeah... i can try to arrange to look at the car day before auction, most of the time you can test drive it, but sometimes the seller hides the key so that people dont. Accident record only available through autocheck.com or carfax.com

the way auction works: big parking lot full of cars, most are open and have keys inside. you come day before or early morning to look at the car you like and test drive it, then when the auction comes for this car, you bid from sellers starting price. sometimes starting price is so high that car does not get sold.

also BMWs come in once a month or something like that from BMW Financial, what I see now is other dealers selling BMWs thats why there are not many....that and its still Wednesday. BMW Financial takes pictures of most cars, other dealers are lazy and some dont have photos. Of course when BMW Financial selling shit lots of BMWs, everyone comes to buy them and therefore prices are a bit higher......this is just my guess.

just to note: if you are buying a fresh $20-30k car with low miles, you can expect it to be flawless. when you want high miles old BMW, its not gonna be flawless. This is not a dealership, its a car auction. Dealers buy not so nice cars and clean them up and fix them, then sell to you with mark up. Of course there are exceptions, but if you wanna buy a PERFECT e36 or e46, auction is NOT the place to go

Also sometimes private party cars are cheaper then auction. When I bought my A4, I saw PP car for $22K and it was AUTO, I paid $25k for almost the same car at auction, but it was what I wanted.....it was manual. Auction fee for $25k car was about 400-500 bucks. Dealers mark up for 20-30k car is usually 4-5k

Do I spy with my little eye, a magma interior? Car looks clean. Too clean for what I'm going to need it for though.
