Seat problem - separation

Hi all,

I've been reading these forums for a few weeks since looking at e90's. Well today I upgraded from my e36 into a 2009 335i convertible.

I see there are some expert detailers and leather perfectionists in here.

The one flaw with the car is shown in the photos below. Is this common and what is the best fix? I've done a search and couldn't come up with anything.

Thanks in advance!

I have some mechanic background and also a detailer. From the picture Im viewing: looks like a clip is broken, seat trim will need to taken a part and re-clip back into position if possible. hope this helps...

upholstery shop will be the best bet, not a detailer

If under warranty then take it to the dealer. This is not wear and tear, but rather a defective or improperly assembled clip

Thanks guys! This is what I hoped for, broken clip sounds easier than a torn seam.

We'll see this weekend.
