Hey guys,

I sold my 2008 335xi and have several items available for sale:
  1. Set of (4) APEX EC7, TPMS, Michelin PS4S w/ roughly 1k miles -- $1600
  2. Stock Cats -- $300
  3. Stock Intercooler -- $125
  4. Stock Charge Pipe and Diverters -- $100
  5. Stock carpeted floor mats -- $50
  6. ECS Jack Plate Adaptor -- $20

If somewhat local to Naperville, I have a bunch of other BMW stuff in my garage, like e46 harness, vacuum lines, valve stem caps, ashtrays, lighters, sway bushings and hardware, etc..

Feuer,

They're Apex EC-7: 18"x9" ET31, tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 245/45/18 (SQUARE SET-UP).

Wheels are PERFECT. Everything is mounted and balanced and come with proper TPMS for our cars, stems, BMW logo valve caps (because, why not...). I had my good center caps on my 17" rims with snow tires when I got the new car, so those are gone. I MAY have a second -- but old -- set of center caps and certainly have a second set of lugs.

Tires have about 1,500 miles on them and the XI was aligned immediately after tire install.

I am the original owner of all this gear and have receipts, etc.

Believe it or not, I picked-up an Audi A6 3.0T w/competition package. Wanted something a touch larger than the e90, but an M5 wasn't in the cards... And, without starting a fist fight with my opinion, the A6's are pretty cool and compare well to their equivalent 5 series.

Audi boards aren't as active as BMW, but Audizine seems pretty good.

I also owned multiple Audi's in my life (A4, S4, S3) but I always have that feeling that something is missing when I drive it. I think BMW will always be a better driver's car. Not a better car for sure, just a better drivers's car.

It's certainly not as raw or connected. And, I say "raw" in a good way. My e36 was extremely raw, bullet proof and reacted to input instantaneously. e46 and e90 were similar but less raw and more refined. The Audi is a nice blend of refined, with a hint of raw.... It's certainly not like a Buick, but definitely softer and a bit less connected. That said, it goes exactly where i point it and it's got a rear diff with torque vectoring, which sounds like electronic voodo, but it works..

How were your Audi's repair and maintenance wise? I'm curious if this one will be a money pit like my XI turned into after I started messing with it alot. I will tune this one, but not until the warranty has expired and I've read Audi is a real bear when it comes to things like that. BMW never gave me crap about tuning or aftermarket stuff at all --- not once!

The last A4 I had had a major issue with the HPFP follower punching a whole through it, and eating into the intake cam at 120k miles... I had to split open the whole top end to replace, cam, seals, followers, pump, etc. Major surgery work. Took me a week to put it back; and I did the belt, chain, water pump, tensioner and followers in the process also. After that I flashed it with JHM software, stage 2 which worked without a custom intercooler. It was pretty good, and never gave me trouble for 25k miles, after which I sold it.. I tried to love it....I lowered it, I changed wheels, I changed front and rear bumpers, S4 blades. I still hated it every time to got behind the wheel, and one day I told my wife "that's it, I am selling it" ; a week later was gone to a nice kid in Rhode Island.

Repair wise, they are demanding bitches. I remember my S3 always needed a switch, a mirror which no longer turned, or a door latch, or a light relay, etc. Same with the A4, plenty of things start to fall apart once you go past 5 years or so... But the parts are not too bad price wise and easy to replace if you like DYI.
If I had an RS4, I would probably still own it, that one is worth keeping.

Good luck.
