Coupe headroom
Thinking of trading the 330d saloon for a 335d coupe but was wondering what the headrooms like in them as I've never sat in one? I'm 6ft2 and occasionally carry rear seat passengers of similar height. No problem in the saloon but is there enough room in a coupe?
Also does having a sunroof affect headroom in the front and rear also? |

I would say the headroom would be fine. Front certainly would be no problem, haven't really sat in back of mine but reckon its ok for shortish journeys. Sunroof would rob headroom for sure.

I'm 6'2. I had a 335d coupe (no sunroof) and had loads of headroom. Never sat in the back oddly!

That's what I wanted to hear! Was hoping there would be enough room!
Though car I've seen has got sunroof just it's about a 3hr drive away so not had chance to sit in it yet! Might need to find one closer to try first! |

You should be fine up front, Im 5ft 11 and have decent amount of headroom. Only thing is if you use the sun visor make sure you fold it all way back up or towards windscreen otherwise when you get into the car again will catch the edge
Rear room is ok, headroom to ok (not really paid too much attention) only thing is a bit of pain getting in and out of the back. I have found it helps to move the seat all the way foward then its ok. |

I'm 6'7" and there's loads of headroom, I do have the seat all the way back which only leaves about 2" of legroom behind my seat but that doesn't bother me.

Sounds like I should be ok headroom wise but legroom is now worrying me!
If it was just me in car wouldn't be a problem by sound of it, but do have to carry rear passengers fairly regularly! Hope there'll be enough room, got my heart set on a coupe now! |

I think you will be OK, but you should just check on ebay/auto trader for your nearest example and go and set up in front and climb in back and see what room you have left.

Got my cars mixed up, there was 2" of rear legroom in my last E46 M3 vert, I looked in my E92 earlier and there's a good 4". I guess it depends if you need the driver seat all the way back or not, go check it out fella

The coupe has the most legroom in the rear of any car I've owned. Combined with great headroom all round and a set of folding rear seats it's the ultimate car for me.

I just changed from an E90 to an E92 and even though I'm only 6"1 ish, I find the headroom worse in the coupe.
But I'm sure this is due to the seats, my E90 didn't have electric seats and the seat could be adjusted to be closer to the floor. The coupe has electric seats and I think there is a load of gubbins under the seat and it won't go as low, and you feel higher up and closer to the roof. Unfortunately 335s have leather electic seats as standard, so there is no way round this if you want the 335...I would love to have my standard Msport alcantara/cloth seats back, they were so much nicer than the dakota leather............ |
