The new maps have more torque at low rpmīs, but itīs a huge lack of power after 6000 rpm compere to the old 2-19.
Power at high rpmīs means more performance on the road when racing against other cars, thats a fact. I will load the old maps back again, thats for sure. Shiv ---> If you could fix more power at high rpm on the newest maps they would be a killer! Last edited by Big Tom; 05-30-2009 at 06:04 PM.. |

I was able to get a code for the first time...does the "fuel pump plausibility" code mean I've a bad fuel pump? Or is it just one of BMW's tune detection method? Car feels 100% normal.

Fuel Pump plausibility codes are normal, and nothing to worry about. Only worry if you get that code and a fuel pressure code at the same time. Also nothing to do with tuning, I took my car into the dealer with that code and a pressure code and they said nothing.

Doomsday only huh, good thing my software had never been updated. I thought most people would be running new software which means they won't be able to use these maps..

Never saw it again after I returned to the maps I am modded for. I think you are more likely to trigger that code if you are running too strong of a map/boost for your modifications. What map was it on? |

I got the code when I checked after I updated to the new firmware, so it should already be there when I was running the old fw and maps. But the thing is, I checked for codes a few times since the code reading function came out and never able to see a code, until today after updating to the new fw and maps. So, maybe code reading was never working for me until I updated to the new firmware? |

There's really no sudden loss of power/boost above 6000rpm. 6600rpm, sure. Especially in the 6AT in preparation for the upshift. Other than that, boost holds pretty strong up top.

And of course I rev my 6MT car to over 6000 rpm, 6700 rpm to be precise. Theres a lot of power up there with the 2-19. |

now i also upload the new firmware and the new stage 1 map.
the only thing i can say is ... wow the car has much more power at low and mid rpm. thats great. at this time i test ut 70 and ut 80. later i will test ut 90 on my car. earlier i had make a short 5km "autobahn" trip and the car accelerates very fast to +++280km/h. i can notice and feel more power with the new maps. at this time i have no problems and limps.
