Sticky feeling w/ clutch

When I press all the way down on the clutch and let go it feels like it pressed down on double sided tape. This is just what it feels like not literately, So I cleaned off the area where the two points meet and it still kinda feels like that. For some reason I just noticed it recently and it has been annoying me. I might just be normal and I might be thinking to hard about it. I just want to here if any of you has experienced this. Thanks

I took a picture of where the clutch hits the circular pad just to give you an idea of what the clutch hits

Everything looks fine from the picture. Maybe the pedal is binding where it connects to the car. The hinge could need to be greased or something along those lines.

Thanks

Maybe a longshot, but sometimes a poorly positioned floor mat can interfere with the clutch pedal.

Had the same exact problem, took a flashlight and looked underneath the steering column. Turns out when I fully depress the clutch it actually falls behind the floor mat which causes resistance when releasing the clutch. It gives you that "sticky" feeling you were describing. I have the all weather rubber floor mats too so its a little bit worse. I haven't fixed it yet but simply re positioning the mats should help.

I moved the floor mat up and it made that feeling go away. I found the sticky feeling after putting the mat further down.
