Sporadic misfire. Any ideas
For the past three weeks my E90 has exhibited some misfires on a very sporadic basis. They are very hard to reproduce which is why I haven't gone to the dealer.
It normally happens coming out of a corner and gassing it a little although in 6th gear on the freeway, I did get it to happen by mildly accelerating form about 60mph. It will then go away for long periods of time. I switched the JB3 out (map 0) and it still happens. I will remove it this weekend in preparation for taking it to the dealer. I share a BT tool with a local buddy but it's in his trunk and he is out of town but I will scan it when he gets back. No other symptoms. No CELS, no long cranks or any other weirdness and like I said, some days you can drive around all day without as much as a hiccup. Any ideas? Preliminary HPFP failure symptoms? I have no other mods and have been running map 5 on 93 oct.

Put the BT on there and found nothing.
Could I have a loose wire on the JB3 harness, it is a pinout version. Any ideas? And BTW, I was running Map 7 with stock car and just 93 oct for a while back in April. No codes.

With a pin-out install I would check the wires as if it misfires on map0 it could be a wiring issue or its your plugs/injector/fuel pump. Is there a chance you got a bad tank of gas?
