Thanks for posting a detailed review. It's nice to know that a fellow N51 owner is happy with the AA tune. I was originally quite interested in it too, but I thought AA being a FL company and not having tuned an N51 specifically, it would be somewhat risky to go that route.

So am I understanding correctly that you got a tune that was designed for the N52, but even with the DISA in your motor the ECU seems to be adapting just fine? I do wonder though if AA couldn't get more out of it if they got a chance to actually tune their parameters on an N51.

To my understanding its accommodates to both 51 and 52. The vendor said it works for both. And my 51 is adjusting perfectly

Do you know if there's a proper break in procedure for the ECU?

Since the ECU has been reset, then it'll need to readjust to your driving style, so I was wondering if it's recommended to drive more aggressively so the tune runs more aggressively.

I've always wanted to go one full tank strapped to a dyno for a day. That's 350-400miles in 4-5hrs? Driving like that. Quickest and safest way I think.

Drive the way you drive and it will adapt to your style. It will relearn but it takes a couple days.

Reset Adaptions if you want to put it back to defaults.

Autologic scan tools are not cheap, about 10 grand new. I had a local independent shop use one to code my led tail lights.
