me - "DUH Y U NO MATCH (at least)"

But yeh, I'm still not totally convinced on a sub anyway, the black/gold didn't really suit and you have blue/gold so I can't go that. Green would look 'interesting' to say the least. (And allen you know I'm not a fan of gold anyway and I'd rather be shot than wear diamonds on my watch). Guess I just have to go for another Gshock.

ps - I saw a couple of watches here called "Relax" had a nice looking crown as logo too. Almost bought you one.
get it over and done with Suj, if green is your thing get yourself the green Lunette Verde (LV) Sub (ref no.116610LV). Alternatively you could get yourself a black dialled/black bezel insert sub and buy a spare green bezel insert so you could switch between black and green though a full green one in pic has the dial green too, hence called the HULK.

EDIT: You can also manage to get the previous version of the LV (16610LV) new in box that came with a black dial and green insert. You can then buy yourself a black insert so you have two watches in one.

My New Old Stock 1971 Pierre Cardin-Jaeger Espace Craterdome watch

This vintage is not to everyones taste but here goes.

After designing collarless suits for the Beatles in 1963 and Nasa Spacesuits in 1970, Pierre Cardin launched his very brief Espace watch line in 1971. He was inspired by space travel in 1961, the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space then. Made of metal blocks, lucite cubes, layered disks, contouring arcs, smoky crystals, bold stripes or flying saucer-shaped Futuro domes, most are very rare especially in good condition and almost all are mechanical watches fitted with handwound Jaeger FE-68 movements. They were fitted with one-piece super-wide bands and manual winding Jaeger FE68 movements. Sold from 71 to 73, at his Espace boutiques, these space inspired watches coincidentally disapperaed at the same time as NASA stopped sending man to the moon. This one is New Old Stock, has the original tube packaging and strap and had been in storage for 4 decades. Approximate dimensions 55mm long x 45mm wide by 10mm tall (middle) to 15mm tall (ends) and has a Jaeger (LeCoultre) Mechanical Manual Movement. This model was made to represent a cratered form, a volcanic erruption of brushed metal rising high and revealing the cratered dial. Must say it doesn't look bulky as in the closeup pictures, sits nicely on the wrist!Enjoy!

Very unique watch. Not my style but I like the design and thought that went into it. Def + for the background/overview that goes with the watch. Gives it character.

At a glance I thought that was a happier version of Rupert Murdoch!

More importantly, who is the chick?

Ok... actress Nora Arnezeder...

A recent addition to my vintage collection, a 18k gold 1946 Breitling Datora Valjoux 72C triple date! I can only imagine what the original owner might have felt like walking out of the store in 1946, with this strapped to his wrist

1946 Breitling watch is cool. I like that one, but 66 years is very old. Does it still keep good time? Juin mercredi is 4th, but i can understand if you don't adjust it too much for risk of something going wrong. How can you get a watch like that serviced?

Thanks John. The second pic is the latest that I had clicked on 27th June (is not todays pic), Mercredi="Wed", the red pointer is for the date. This one was made for the French market hence the datewheel in French but the same ref 785's are seen in an English datewheel too if was for the US/Euro zone.
Just had it professionally serviced in the US by a vintage Breitling expert after I discovered it as a barn find and untouched. A bit of cleaning ensuring everything remained original and a movement only service is all it took to get it back in shape, it keeps perfect time. However has to be manually wound with about a 30+hr power reserve. The same Valjoux 72C movement used in this watch was also used in Rolex triple date watches in the 40's and 50's, offcourse those Rolex triple dates fetch 200k+ at auctions.

Here's 2 pics of the original condition I found it in and the third when it was dismantled by the watchmaker for servicing

That came out really well after cleaning. Probably your French is better than mine. I assumed you took the pics today, but I was wrong. I love the pics of the mechanism too - pretty good tech for 1946. That's a most impressive watch.

Nice buy cruvon! Not matter how many I see, there is still something special about a movement watch.

If you are refering to your phone, we can't say without you posting pics but would be as convenient as having one of these in ones pocket to check the time.

Digging up an old thread, but I'm interested in feedback from the group.. I'm looking at a new watch and have narrowed it down to two options, namely:

http://hamiltonwatch.com/en/gents/kh...mach/H76686735

or this:

http://www.breitling.com/en/models/s...tion/index.php

I'm an absolute sucker for the Breitling brand, purely due to the inherent wank factor.. but I love the look of the Hamilton, not to mention the obscenely cheap price (relative to the Breitling).. I can find no negative feedback on the Hamilton's.. should I just get the Hamilton and pocket the change?
