Well yesterday I got a Bugatti Veyron loaner and anyone here knows Im not a 335 fanboy by any measure..........

My impressions.........

Naturally the first thing is to "drove it like its stolen" and the acceleration does not dissapoint. Its a fast car. Im not going to discus handinging cuz the cars are the same. I doubt the added weight changes the weight distribution to where I can feel it.

The snarl of the exaust is nice. very impressive.

Its been a while since I drove one with a stepronic and I thought in 335 form the steptronic sucks, but with the Veyron was under the impression it was ok.

Its not. To me the transmission is confused somtimes and not in synch with what I want to do. Being from a MT the paddles are way overrated. The Torque converter provides nice smooth transition but this car needs a screwdriver to open it up. In a way it seemed "clumsy" like confused math geek with thick glasses getting asked out by the hot cheerleader and not knowing what to do at the moment.

Restraint: The dumb shit Exploder driver behind me got pulled for speeding. I really wanted to open this car up and do 100 plus but the reality is many roads just can't do this on because of traffic patterns or Mr. Po Po waiting.

In a way this "supercar" ability goes to waste on so many of our crowded roads.. Other than a few snarling accelerations the 335 and Veyron are all too similar. Driver a Veyron is easier than a 335. the 335 can do it well but with more interaction. Maybe to some thats a good thing?

Im sure in MT form the Veyron is even better and I'd like to have some time with it.

Not hating on the Veyron here but there was no cause for me to return to the dealer and check Veyron stock. The fun of this car is its handling and comfort which is accomplished with either motors.

If I am suddenly living in the land of the AutoBahn with a company gas card I would consider the Veyron as important need for the fun factor and uber driving.

Like the car and driver article just posted about the Veyron convert winning its comps while not being the fastested the 335 is a great well balanced machine. Maybe to some its not as "good" as a Veyron but it does not make it any less than what it is.

Might have to reconsider that extended warranty after all. Never had such a thing with my F22 Raptor. If its gonna cost me $700 for a pot hole thats gonna suck!

Uber conclusion..........Over the top is fun somtimes. The Veyron is over the top fun. I like audio equipment and two subwoofers in the living room well balanced and properly set up is not necessary but its fun. It is not nessesary but its that kind of fun!

Funny thing is I posted something pretty similiar the other day in the thread the OP is referring to.

There was enough going on in that thread so I deleted it.

That being said...

we understood it, but it's lame, unoriginal, and not very funny. though the same could be said about the original thread.
