Will this work on a Halogen setup for a LCi 328i sedan?

Just following up with the thread. I've had these on my 335d for over 4 months and they are still running strong. No problems, no heating issues, no yellowing issues, and they are bright as hell!

Now I totally regret now taking pics of those headlights that I worked on when I saw this. I have seen yellowing from the back of the fiber optic to even the smaller ring itself being yellow.

And this doesn't apply to you guys' E92s, but I have seen LEDs actually causing burnt/melt the back of the fiber optic ring as well. It's one of the big name brand, but because I don't exactly remember which it was, I won't say it.

I agree with this. Without going into and discussing the merit and demerits of disabling errors, using relay effectively solves all the powering issue AND people that can't code. And like Tomz said, it's not that difficult to hide the relay well and keep it looking OEM.

How often are you popping your hood open anyway?

UPDATE:

After running these HIDs for almost two years, I decided it was time to upgrade to some real LEDs and black out the chrome. I can confirm that these lights can handle HIDs without ANY discoloration or deterioration. The photos I below are after 21 months and roughly 30k miles of HID angel eye use.

I just picked up a 335 and the one angel eyes was only half lit. When I went to take a look the tube was clogged with bubbles and brown and yellow, like it was burnt.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=890771

general conensus was that someone had HID angel eyes in the car before me.

Depending on the HID Kit it may cause this to happen over time. Depending on the bulb it may have a high output of IR light which will cause this.

Sorry to bump an old thread but apparently I got a short and now my angels don't work at all even with the stock bulbs I have found tutorials on using toolset32 and can't get it to delete the error counter. Has anyone else experienced this or found a way to fix it???

I've been looking for this thread for the past few days because I was trying to figure out how to bypass the light check for my HID ae. Rotary Rasp, could you tell me which type if cable I would need and software in order for me to do this? I have no experience with coding, hopefully this isn't too hard. Thanks

How to find free coding

both problems solved.

even if you bought the coding cable ($90) and the hid kit ($40), it's still cheaper and BETTER than using one of the non-PnP hack job kits vendors sell on this forum.

They also use cheap bubls which dont protect against uv, that cause yellow of angel eye housing and discoloration of the housing over time. For the record i dont sell any hid so im not "mad" im just throwing out some facts. My buddy just picked up 2 ddm tuning kits recently 1 works and the other failed in 2 weeks. Those kits cost ddm about 6-10 wholsale. Our friends at hpb spend ove 5x that for the high quality stuff.
Hi I'm new to BMW I was looking into coding options but here in florida it's almost impossible to find somebody to do it... You mentioned... There are free coders... How do I find them? Is it safe?? Thank you. Also can you guide me to a post or somewhere about installing valeo headlamps with angel eyes on a 2008 328xi halogen headlight without angel eyes.. I bought this.

Valeo 44812 Right Side Replacement Headlight Assembly for BMW 3-...
$290.57 On amazon... Need to know if I can install in my car without modifications or rewiring and if at all possible to run eyes as drl... Thank you

Need a little help coding these. I have an 08/06 build E92 and I tried to follow braveplayer's instructions since he has an FRM vehicle as well. The problem i'm encountering is that after i select CAS and search for the NFRM module is isn't there. Also there isn't anything that starts with NFRM under the 'change job' menu. Help!

This seems like an awesome way to get some quality HIDs installed for AE's.

When everyone here is talking about coding the FRM are they using ISTA/P or can it be done using a more basic program like BMWhats app?

I would like to try this using Morimoto H8 HID's since they seem to be very good quality and UV filtered
