Hood Scoop Mod

So is there is a hood scoop available in the aftermarket for the E92/E93s?

It is literally what is says, a scoop on your hood. If you look at any wrx (non 2.5rs) or STI, they all have hood scoops.

rofl, i would add a decal on that scoop that says "God Bless America!!"

but i think our engines do work at very high temperatures and some additional venting of the engine bay wouldn't hurt

I'm totally joking... I was trying to think of a new topic that hadn't been discussed. Please may there NEVER be a hood scoop for the E92/E93 or any BMW for that matter...

you see those scoops on subaru's and the old mini S because the scoop fed air over the intercooler

with the front mount intercooler on the 335, it's not necessary

The new mini cooper S has a FMIC as well, but kept a non functional scoop for decoration

Well, there's nothing wrong with a scoop that's functional. In fact, I quite like it as a design feature on my WRX. I just don't see the point of fake hood scoops. They just decrease your gas mileage for no good reason whatsoever.

you guys laugh all you want...but I like the hood scoop...on the right car of course, I especially like it on the old Mustangs . I had a 1970 Mach 1 and the scoop looked really good and was functional.

Ram air hoods are awesome...but the hood scoops that are not functional are retarded IMO. I love how older Mustangs had the optional "raised hood scoop" that doesnt work...absolutely retarded!
