Procede Update With VIN Lock Disabled?

I heard that a new update was coming which eliminated the VIN lock on the Procede. Does anyone have any news on the status of this update or when it will be available?

Maybe someone from Vishnu can comment on this.

They posted last week that this is several weeks out.

They referenced a 20psi map.
New firmware
New maps
Vin unlock

Hopefully we get away from betas.

Thanks bud. Do you know if I wanted to have mine unlocked in order to sell it, would I still have to pay even though it's only a few weeks out from being free?

they say a few weeks out, but who knows. My guess is you'd have to pay right now but that's really a question for vishnu to answer.

It's like when asking a chick how many guys she's slept with, you multiple her number by 3 then add 5, this is the same for Vishnu.

If Shiv says there will be a release in a few weeks or soon, that means it's about 1/2 year out.

Thanks fellas, guess I shouldn't hold my breath.

Called them up as well and they flat out denied the existence of the VIN unlock update in the future or even it's mention, and that I had to pay $100 to unlock! It's plainly stated by Garret in the thread linked above.

I bet that 2 weeks after I unlock the update will come out.

Cobb's sales are about to go up by another unit again if Vishnu doesn't get their butts into gear on this. A lot of us are tired of the empty promises and constant ETA setbacks. I bought my Procede because it was the best tune out there and was promised top tier support and updates... I know they really don't care cause they already got my money, but I didn't buy a PWM kit for a reason too...

I'm rocking the pwm unfortunately for me switching isn't an option.

They just need to release something to satisfy their owners.

How did he get that?

Also, how are you liking your switch to COBB?

If you can upload the file as an attachment to the tread. OP might be able to add it to the main post which would be awesome!

In an email I received from vishnu in May they stated all new procedes purchased in 2013 directly from them are fully vin unlocked.

The only reason i want the VIN Unlock is so I can get rid of the procede... and I think Vishnu knows a lot of other people are in the same boat.

They want to continue to support the 15-20 or so single turbo guys and ignore the rest of us... it'll be their own downfall.

Really disappointed in Vishnu

Guys-- Currently out of the country on a tuning trip and wifi is spotty at best.

As we've said before, if you need an unlock, just email us and we can email you a special firmware file that clears the VIN lock. This is nothing new. But it is a short-term solution until the new firmware is released. I will be back to the office mid next week to put the final touches on the new twin turbo firmware. I admit that it has taken longer to finish than anticipated. Main updates include:

-No Vin locking
-PWM meth will be functional on flexfuel map
-Will support external MAP sensor (any map sensor, not just 3.5bar) for high 20+psi
-No rough cold starts when running straight E85 (requires ProcedeFlash)
-Methanol purge function active (just like the ST firmware)

Best Regards,
Shiv

Great news. About the Procede that is and not the terrible WiFi.

Despite some of the people in this thread it seems there is still a lot of excitement around your product. With this new firmware and E85 only just being available where I live, it looks like I picked a good time to jump on the BMW/N54 train.

New to me, but definitely nice to know. Saved me $100.

Thanks.
