I had a shop install it, so for me it wasnt a hassle But like many people have said the 5" ETS IC is awesome. Tons of people are running high boost/meth 450whp without issue.

I went for the 7" inch because I had already paid for the Rob Beck turbos. So if your future mod plans are upgraded turbos - go the 7"!!

Honestly, if I were to put my stock IC back in you wouldnt even notice we trimmed to fit the 7". Its not that much.

I havent been on a dyno. Im not sure I ever will. All I know is they are a great mod. They drive like stock, they spool up loud and and my car pulls hard! If you are on the fence I recommend you do it.

Depends. it's nice to have an FMIC which does its job all the time. passive cooling but there is more to think about...

Out of curiosity, how much boost are you running? With meth with no FMIC, you'd have to revert back to lower maps when you're not running wiht meth enabled..

I'm sure I won't. I'm trying to hold off for a while. Need to finish some due maintenance (brakes and rotors, clutch soon, oil filter housing, intake valve cleaning).
But dude reading the posts by people with RBs doesn't help LOL makes me want to place an order now

so Anything to report since you started running with RBs? increased oil consumption? or anything of the sort?

Man, for me none. Whats crazy is even HWY gas mileage has improved. My experience has been great. You have to understand that I bought mine six months ago. But, the line was huge and there a ton of people that run RB's that dont post on these forums. If you have any questions at all I suggest you get in touch with rob@rbturbo.com He is a great vendor. He will answer any questions you have and even if its the right upgrade for you. -- Which I know it is! Call Rob!!!!

You're not helping!!

I'm glad you've had no issues with them and I'm sure we can say the same about others running RBs. I've heard wait time is around 3 weeks nowadays which is not bad at all! it's definitely on my list of upgrades

Sitting in the driveway the inlet temps heated up from 86 degrees to 132 degrees using the OEM airbox! DCI was identical. The reason is the turbo manifold and turbo assembly is a lot hotter than air coming off the radiator and is the main contributor to heat soak.

If I have a aFe DCI with heat shield and no tune will that be bad? is it going to decrease longetivity with the higher temps being sucked in? I didnt know it made such a difference. How much is a lightly used set worth? I may put them up for sale aha. Any offers?

It wont necessarily hurt the car. You just might find more power on a stock intake with say a high flow filter though.

I'd just get a K&N Air Filter and call it a day. In my opinion, sucking in hot air through those cones isn't a great idea.
