Paddle shifter question

When I am driving, I can just click on the the paddle shifters and it automatically does to manual mode. My question is, when switching it over to paddle shift mode this way, how do you put it back in drive? When I use the level and push it over and either up or down to switch it to manual mode, to put it back in drive mode I just push the lever to the right back in drive mode, but when using the paddles to switch from regular drive mode to paddle shift mode, how do I return back to drive?

I believe you just wait for it. i could be wrong but i normally never use the paddles on the steering wheel. I always use the stick shift with my right hand. Its easier to time the shifts.

If you're talking about the top of the paddles where if you push them both back it goes into manual mode then I believe if you push them both back again it goes back to automatic mode.

from what I've experienced, if you click a paddle and go to manual mode while the gear selector is in "d" instead of "m/s" it will go back to regular drive mode after a few seconds.

if you are in sport and you click a paddle, it will go to manual mode and remain there until you pus the gear selector back to drive.
